I'm an PM Moron

I just now figured out how to retrieve PM's from my little box here on the Cathe forums (that I didn't even know I had), and there were messages all the way back from February 2003.

I'm really sorry, folks whose messages I never responded to. Forgive me; I know not what the *&^% I'm doing with anything techno-oriented.

No, honey, you're not a moron at all -- or, well, maybe we both are. I saw the title of your thread and that you started it, and I sat here for maybe 30 seconds before even opening it, thinking "Hmmm. What does she mean, is she a morning person or what??" Does this give you some clue as to how often I remember to check PM's?? ;-)

Hey AJ,
UH, you are a GENIUS compared to me. I just figured if I had a PM then someone/something would let me know. I'd love to check now but I don't remember how. Once upon a time I found one...but since I am the poster child for CRS, I don't remember how I did it.

Folks, you're not morons. The user menu only shows in certain places. The best thing to do is go to the main forum screen, where all the forums are listed. Then you will see the user menu at the top. When you click on it, it will take you to another menu that has your inbox as an option to click on. It's not the most logical set-up in the world, and it's not that convenient to use. Which is probably why I rarely use it.

Also...

...when you check the forum's page, if you have a PM, there should be a "flag" waving that says you have a PM. I think I got this right. That flag will "wave" at you til you mark your PM's as read. Hope this makes sense.

My pms go automatically to my e-mail - I just checked my inbox on cathe's site (i didn't know it existed before!) and it had a copy of one of the pm's I had already received. go figure.
