I haven't noticed too much discussion about the DVD's lately. I think we all know they will be shipping soon and we'll know when the big announcement is made. I am so excited now that we know it's so close!
Part of the problem, if you want to call it that, is that we have the uniqe privilege to see the process happen and we have these forums in which to discuss and perhaps over-discuss everything. Can you think of another instructor who is in touch with her consumers during the filming and production processes of her workouts? When Voight or any of the others put put new workouts, we know about it when they are available.
But don't let it upset you, Lori. I am sure Cathe is infinitely aware that you can't please everyone and she's a consummate professional and too busy to worry and certainly not going to be willing or able to rush the process. Besides, she probably doesn't get onto these fourms the way we fans do!
Here is SNM's reply to one impatient waiter who wanted a bonus because of the wait:
"There is no harm asking, but what you're asking for is not practical as it would take us at least a month to order and receive enough mugs for all of our presale orders....not to mention the cost and shipping problems (mugs are breakable).
We certainly understand that many people are frustrated awaiting the arrival of the new DVDs, but a few things you should consider:
#1 We never promised that DVDs would be ready by the end of the summer. Here is exactly what we said:
"Estimated Shipping Date:
It is really difficult to give you exact or accurate shipping date at this time. The new workouts are being filmed this summer. We're going to do our best to ship your order by the end of summer; however, we can not make any promises. As always, we will keep you updated regularly on our website."
We followed this up with threads and replies on this forum saying that videos would be ready first followed soon thereafter by the DVDs and we have kept you informed with numerous updates.
#2 We have added many features to these DVDs that we did not advertise or promise at the beginning of the presale. We could have easily just chaptered the DVDs like nearly every other company does and we would have been done with DVDs in October and saved a ton of money! Instead we like to push the envelope and raise the bar on our DVD productions. Premixes just don't happen by magic, they take weeks of hard work and cost anywhere from $175 to $400 per hour to make. These DVDs took nearly two months to author, so you can at least get an idea of the costs involved.
#3 You can always cancel your presale order and we will promptly refund your money. We’re as anxious as everyone else is to get the new DVDs. This is our busiest time of year and we lose money everyday of the Holiday season we miss. But this is also the busiest time of year for our vendors and duplicators and this means things take longer. Rest assured we have worked as hard as possible to get the Body Blast DVDs completed and in your hands, but if you’re finding the wait to stressful you can simply just cancel and reorder in the future when the DVDs are in stock."
