Okay, gotta 'scuss it. Darn addicting show. So what did y'all think of last night? Seriously, I think Elliot was right on the money. He surely deserves to stick around. He might not have the most personality, but he is really good. My order for last night goes Elliot, Chris, Taylor, Kat. Sorry Kat fans, but I think it's time to check out. Last night was not stellar for her, but I do think she'll do just fine on her own. I do think it will come down to Taylor and Chris...

I watched it late last night, and then just the singing this morning.

I thought Chris's first song, Taylors second song, and Elliott's second song were good. Kat, meh, for both. At the end of her first song I was actually cringing because of the shrill sound. This morning, Elliott's first song appealed much better to me.

And how many of you were thinking of Cathe on Chris' second song!

Elliott is just amazing - I think now it will be he and Taylor for the finale. Kat will go tonight. Chris is boring - same old, same old.

Elliott showed he deserved to stay in this competition. Kat didn't pull either song off well, and I actually felt that she just didn't try hard enough. Loud does not equal good.

I do think Elliot is awesome, but ya know, I think we have been there done that with the crooners. I really want Chris b/c I would love to have a rocker type win. He just reminds me of a lot of bands I love...but that's just me!

Yeah, I agree. I didn’t think Kat do very well last night either. Elvis' songs are hard to sing. On another *note* (no pun intended, hahaha) my dh recognized Chris's song on ME! Too much.

I think Elliott was the only one who hit it with TWO great performances.

Taylor's first performance made me put him on the 'to go" list! But he did do a good second performance. I wouldn't be sad to see him go, though. He's outlived his charm for me.

Chris did a great first performance, but on his second performance, it was like he was just going through the motions for most of it, and had absolutely no personality until the end.

I wasn't thrilled by either of Katherine's performances. The second one sounded like she was shouting rather than singing. I hate to lose the only female in the top 4, but I think she should go.

I hope America does right and keeps Elliott around. But I think all four of them have a career in front of them.
 
Last night made me realize that Paris was the most talented of the final 5 (in my opinion). I know many people thought she was annoying, but her songs were the only ones that I didn't fast-forward through.

I couldn't watch Idol if I didn't have TIVO. It's nice to be able to speed through all of the filler and the songs I don't like.

Taylor bugs me! He seems so affected. It made a huge difference when he sang his second song without flailing around like an idiot. I like Elliot's voice but he can be boring (however, he was fabulous last night) and Chris does not do it for me at all. Kat's nerves are showing. Her performance was the weakest, but I think she is the best of the final four. I have a feeling she'll be voted out.

Paula didn't seem out of it last night!

My kids recognized that song too. That is funny!

I thought Elliot was the best last night. I think they're all good. It will interesting to see who gets voted off. It didn't seem like Katherine's night, so it may be her. Chris, I like a lot, but it does seem like too much of the same. Taylor, he just cracks me up!:7 I liked his second song.

IMHO, we need new judges. Randy, Simon, and Paula are not very good judges.

Last night I thought Chris was awesome. He even sounded like Elvis.

Taylor is a psycho. He is now the prime candidate on votefortheworst.com. This is because he sucks!!

Cat is usually good, but last night was was awful.

Elliot, for the first time ever, was the best last night.

I still want Chris to win. I think he is the best out of all of them. He doesn't flop around the stage like a weirdo (think Taylor), he looks good, he sounds good, he is good!

I think Cat or Taylor will go home tonight.

I hate to see any of the final 4 gooo! We got thru last nite and voted for Taylor about 6X! :) We also like how Elliot has evolved. I used to think Chris or Kat would take it but not so sure anymore. IMO they are ALL good!

Am I the only person bothered by the fact that Chris leaves his mouth hanging open all through his song? With those giant bug sunglasses (did he borrow those from Paris Hilton?), I thought he looked like one of those oversized goldfish.

As for the music, this is my first season watching, but I'm really disappointed. I don't know if it's because they're being forced into other genres or what, but I just find most of the performances mediocre and uninspired.

I also agree that it's time for new judges! There is something REALLY wrong with Paula, I am convinced!

Marie, I felt the same way in the first season, but have gotten used to the music that they are forced to sing.
I voted alst night, but couldn't make up my mind between Chris and Taylor. I would buy a Chris album, like I've said, but Taylor was so much fun and good that I had to vote for him too. Kat last night wasn't on the ball, but I think she had the lower hand due to being the only female trying to sing Elvis. I know I could not try to sing Elvis. Elliot, he was good, I likes his last song,but I still prefer Chris or Taylor.

I thought Elliot was fab and should be in the bottom 3. I am tired of Taylor, I like him, but he is just getting to be too much for me. I really like Kat, but last night was really not good. I don't think she tried hard enough. Chris, well he is Chris how can you not love the guy? I thought he did great and yes I too was laughing at the songs he sang were both in ME and C&W (I think in the step portion).

I do think this year the last 5 are very talented, more than ever. I have not been impressed with any other idol except Kelli Clarkson (who I love!). No one else has really done anything big like Kelli. I do hope all the last 5 will go on to great things. JMO.
 
Hey now, I'm not comparing the two, there's no simalarity!;) I just happened to be entertained with Taylors performances just as much as I was with Chris. Don't worry I still love Chris and want him to win, I just didn't think Taylor should go just yet either.

I think it is very interesting that all 4 contestants at this point all project totally different styles. If Kat goes tonight, it will be really neat to see how this plays out with 3 guys who are nothing alike, personally or musically.

I think this makes for an interesting finale.
