I wasn't really snooping but . . .

Last night I got my DH's checkbook b/c I wanted to write out some bills and I found a Wal-Mart receipt. I just happened to look at it and found out that he was Christmas shopping yesterday. I was very pleased to find out that he got me a set of 25 lb dumbells, a 10 lb medicine ball and an exercise mat. Now how am I going to act surprised on Christmas morning?

LOL you can do it, My 10 year old told me that my 15 year old got me a Josh Groban CD and I LOVE Josh's music!!! now how am I going to act surprised on that!!!! LOL, Don't you just love Christmas?

I know what you mean.

My DH was hinting around that he would like one of those mini refrigerators. So I bought him one and I knew that he would be totally surprised. Well my 3-year old spilled the beans at dinner a few weeks ago when he blurted out, "Daddy we got you a new refrigerator". Next year I'll remember not to take him Christmas shopping with me. LOL

Thats a tough one.I find it hard to act surprised! I also found a note for the mall.I am not sure when he wrote it b/c we said we were not going to buy much this year b/c you just bought some things for the house.

This is a fun thread! You can still act thrilled and exclaim -- that's just what I wanted! I asked my husband to order me a body bar for Christmas, I know it's coming, but I still can't wait to get my hands around it and my shoulders under it! I wonder what color your med ball and mat are.....

Put your game face on girl! He's probably very proud of himself and he should be.....not every man pays attention to wish lists! i have a similar situation and it's driving me nuts! i was picking up dh's dirty clothes off the floor the other day and a Tiffany's box fell out of his nomex pocket! i almost fell over. he was the next room and so i brought it to him really quick and said "you better hide this really quick unless you meant for me to find it because i can only restrain myself for about 30 more seconds!" he took it and i don't know where it is (thank God)...but i can't wait to find out!!!!!!!x(

Snoopings a "womans" thing.................its OUR RIGHT!

If my DH expects me NOT to LOOK at his "dump pile" on his side of the dresser, or at the things I take out of his pockets before laundrey, then hes FOOLING himself..................I HAVE TOO - I CANT HELP MYSELF

(how sad am I?)

But I AM good at faking surprises

Good advice Melissa! Dana~I like Writer's response...just say Thanks, it's just what I wanted and then...run off to change into your workout clothes. Have FUN with your new goodies!

I can relate. My mom told me she got the workout shoes and Michigan sweatshirt I wanted. My MIL said she ordered those exercise dvds from Collage for me. Why did they feel the need to tell me? I am very happy but I do like some element of surprise. Oh well, I'll act surprised.

My husband is still hoping that Hardcore is delivered for Christmas. He ordered it for me for my birthday in July and was hoping that it would count as a birthday AND a Christmas present!

I also wasn't snooping (had to move the kids' presents, as my 2 year old found one of them) and found a new step (the exact one that I will need for Hardcore!!)! Can't wait to use it!!

I am still laughing about not showing up Christmas morning in my workout clothes!!! Good advice!!

My husband will actually buy gifts for me when I am right there standing next to him, and then act like they are not for me. He doesn't do this with major gifts, but with the smaller stuff he does it all the time. Another thing he'll do is ask me a very leading question like, "That saphhire bracelet I bought you last year...was it in silver or gold?". What do you guys think? Will there be earings to match this year? I do try to act surprised though, because he's so cute about giving these gifts and I'd hate to spoil his giving of the gifts.

Have a great holiday everyone,
Shelbygirl

I got a huge laugh reading the advice to not show up Christmas morning in your workout clothes. I have a mental picture of doing just that & I giggle everytime I think of it.

My mother called me last night to inform me of a gift she got me & she wanted to know if I already had it so she wouldn't have to drag it all the way over to my sister's if I did. Is there logic in there? :+

THEN, she says, well, now that you know what it is, do I have to wrap it?? ~sigh~

What a great thread. My Dh is out to lunch with my brother right now. I went over to the post office (just next door) and there was a box from CK Sales. I figured it had to be my Christmas gift. It was a workout DVD, I opened it. Even worse (this is embarassing) I popped it in the DVD player and did half of it. I felt so guilty, I wrapped it back up. I hate that I love to snoop. :+

Dana - seeing the receipts is one thing, but actually SEEING the new fitness toys and waiting to use them is another! You'll be surprised and ecstatic!

Merry Christmas!
