I ordered P90X!

Okay, I did it! I finally ordered that *$?! series that you all rave about so much. How come I feel that spending $100+ hidden extra costs so much more of a big deal than going out and spending $200 a week on groceries? We all know where the groceries eventually end up, yet these workouts will be with me for years to come.

What finally pushed me off the fence with this series were the rotations that a few people posted that combine Cathe workouts and P90X workouts. I don't like the idea of going 90 days without Cathe, so knowing that I can subsitute one of her workouts when I want was very reassuring. Has Cathe become my teddybear?!

Cheers,
Sandra

Have fun with Plyo X. muahahhaaaa }( My favorite is Shoulders and Arms, least favorite is Legs and Back. I just never feel it in my legs no matter how heavy I go.

I can't believe you don't feel that leg workout. It kills me and I get DOMS for 3 days and I have really strong, muscley legs.

Sandra! Yeah! It's a great, great series!!! And how often can you pay only $135.00 for 14 weeks straight of workouts?! I always feel so pumped when I do these.

Shelly - I'm with you with Legs and Back! I can do GS Legs and take a long run the next day. I do Legs and Back I'm lucky to take a short walk the next day. But then again, Legs & Glutes gets to me much more than GS Legs. They're lighter weights, higher reps - but holy cow!!!

You can buy them on eBay. But the whole system is definitely worth it. It's a 14 week program designed to help really give you strength and definition. I saw better results with P90X than I did with S&H or GS.

just wanna add that since i don't have a pull up bar,i use bands with door attachment. not as good but still effective

Sandra you definitely won't regret this purchase. I've done P90X 3x around (Classic). I still do it switching back & forth between the different dvds. I even add on more exercises than what Tony & the peeps do.

Enjoy! Kathy:D

Congratulations! P90x is definitely an investment, but it's so worth it. I only wish I discovered it sooner!

http://bestsmileys.com/signs7/5.gif[/img] Sandra!!! Shoulders & Arms is my alltime favorite and PlyoX will kick your a$$....:)

I feel like I am in exercise heaven, and only you girls (guys) would understand. I am going to receive P90x on Monday, according to UPS. And, I have watched the video clips on the Cathe Player, and I am so excited about them too. We have to share our enthusiasm here because "outsiders" (people who don't work out or don't work out at home) just don't get it:7 .They look at me like I am crazy for wanting to work out.

Thanks for the hurrah, gang! I will admit that I'm more looking forward to receiving the new Cathe's next week (yay!) than P90X, but that's okay. Given where I live, I still had to pay the shipping charges, and it's going to take 2-3 weeks to get here.

I don't have a chin up bar. Do I need one? I have the equipment to do Cathe's workouts; am I missing anything I might need for P90X? And can I presume that my current range of weights is enough? I have dumbells ranging from 3 pounds to 25 pounds, with 1 40 pounder. And my barbell can go as high as about 65 pounds. Will I need anything else? Such as an ambulance standing by?

Cheers,
Sandra

Sandra - you won't need a barbell at all for the workouts. Your dumbells should be good to start with (thought you won't be using the 3 lbers;)). You will probably need to pick up some 30's at some point. You WILL need a either a pull-up bar or something high that you can wrap a band around to do the back work. It's almost ALL pull-ups and chin-ups.

You won't need the ambulance, but you might need a good masseuse on staff;)

Ack, Shelley, I'm sorry I forgot to reply to your question above. Totally slipped my mind. Last week I got 2 emails from you, and replied to both. I'm actually waiting for you to reply to mine }( }( }( }( (did you get it?).

Thanks for the 411 on the equipment. DH is in the process of finishing our basement, and this might be a good time to get a pull up bar and figure out where to put it. That would be cool to be able to a pull up or two.

My staff consists of a 6 year old and a 1 year old. If I promise them the right treat, they'll happily jump on my back.
