I never had ab soreness....

until I did Ab Hits!!! This DVD is amazing !! :9

I just got Ab Hits this week and have done it 3x. The 1st time I did it, the next day I felt a little sore, but it wasn't too bad. The 2nd time... OH MY is all that I can say. I was so sore the next day I couldn't believe it. By the 3rd time, my ab muscles were screaming "WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO US????" I never realize how much I use my ab muscles throughout the day until this week.

Here is my question: I would like to add on Ab Hits following cardio. Do I do the cardio workout, then cool down and stretch prior to doing ab work? Or do I do the cardio workout, then do ab work, then do the cool down and stretch?

Hi Shonda,
I would say do your stretches for your legs & arms after cardio and whatever weight work you did. Then do your ab work. Then finish stretching w/ so good ab stretches and any others you wanna throw in there:) HTH!

I prefer to complete all cardio, leg weight work if that is on the docket, ab work, then upper body weight work if that is on the docket, THEN stretch everything out. Ab work is . . . well, work, and I prefer to stay in my work zone until the end, then stretch.

I'm with AQ. If I've done step I do give my quads/hip flexors and calves a real quick stretch before moving on to abs. If I stretch in the middle of the "work", I might never rev myself back up to finish!
 
Accualy I like Aquajocks idea too. Do every single exercise and everything before you stretch including abs. That makes more sence to me IMO.

What is IMO. You've mentioned that serval times in your posts. I still don't know all these acronyms (if that's what you call them).

Yes, these acronyms are not easy to decipher. That is what put me off at the Firm. You know, Rachel Ray of cooking fame does the same thing.

I wish we had a dictionary of acryonyms or something because I can't respond to much because I don't know what the heck the acroymns mean.

Thank you...this makes more sense to do it this way. And I honestly, I think if I were to stretch prior to doing ab work, I might not do it. After I finish stretching, I just feel so relaxed and I don't want to do work again. And you're right...ab work is work.

I had to laugh at your reply...I just had a visual of myself trying to do the entire DVD and let's just say it wasn't pretty!!! Couldn't even imagine it!!!

Nope, I just did one segment on 3 different days. I normally work my abs 3-4x/week and was impressed with how quickly Cathe was able to cause soreness in my abs the next day. Cathe is definitely THE woman, no question about that!!! }(

Seriously, I love the challenge that Cathe has given me. I'm definitely seeing significant improvement and I just started working out with her at the end of July!!!
