Hi sew!
Cathe's workouts, unlike the Firm, are for the most part EITHER cardio or strength. For strength, you could try the PS series. There are three tapes, Back Biceps and Abs, Chest Shoulders and Triceps, and Strong Legs and Abs. The upper body is divided, as you can see, into pushing and pulling muscles and then the lower body is all together. These are slow and heavy tapes. Then there is MIS, which is a total body tape, it is more Firm-like in that it is more endurance-oriented, a little faster reps with slightly lighter weights, a really tough total body workout. Cathe's cardio tapes are all step tapes except MIC which is half floor hi-lo and half step. Her step tapes have fairly complex choreography but it is amazingly easy to pick up because for one thing Cathe's cuing is absolutely stellar and her moves makes intuitive sense. They have FLOW. So don't let "complex choreography" scare you, I bet you could do it. I am just finishing up the Firm's 90 day rotation myself, I have absolutely LOVED it. Cathe's workouts are very different but equally tough (tougher in the cardio category) and would be a great way to cross-train with the Firm. If you want to get brave and TRY a Cathe step tape, I recommend starting with Step Heat. A lot of people recommend starting with How to Get In Shape for Your Wedding as well (I just like Step Heat better). Good luck, I hope you decide to venture into Cathe's workouts because I think you'll like 'em. -susan p (I post as smariep on the Firm forum sometimes)
