I love pasta!

I know I could never go lo-carb because I love just about every type of pasta. Last nite, made papperdelle (sp?) w/artichokes, so yummy. What's your favorite pasta type/recipe????:D

Without a doubt, baked ziti (which I make with rigatoni, ricotta and mozzarella (big clumps of the cheese thruoghout) and sauce.

Hey, at least I switched to whole wheat pasta ;)

ME TOO!!! I'm a little Italian girl and I like my pasta just about any way I can get it. My favorite way is the traditional southern italian style--tossed in a tomato based sauce and topped with fresh grated romano cheese. I also love it tossed with vegies and olive oil. Italian style mac and cheese is to die for, prepared with 4 cheeses (parmesan, romano, fontina, and gorgonzola). It just doesn't get any better than that:9 :p .

As long as you've got a box of pasta, a bottle of olive oil, and a couple of fistfuls of vegies or a can of tomatoes, you're just minutes from a fantastic meal!

See if you can find Hodgson Mill brand WW pasta. It delivers 6 grams of fiber per serving. I love pasta and I am an avowed carb junkie. Michele's post made me hungry! :9

I have tried all different kinds of WW pasta. You need to try them out b/c sometimes they can be "gritty" and you don't want that!

Nature's Own is my favorite. There is an organic grocery near me that has this but I have also found it in a small organic sction of the local supermarket. Ronzoni makes one too that seems to becoming a more popular item in most stores and I noticed very recently that Barilla came out with one.

My favorite brand of WW pasta is an import called Rustichella. I believe it's manufactured in the oldest pasta factory in Italy that's been in continous operation. It's pricey but the flavor is devine! I would definitely buy this one if you wanted to impress company! Ronzoni is a good brand too. San Georgio, which is Ronzoni with a different name, is another good one. I don't know why, but for some strange reason they call it Ronzoni in some areas of the country, and San Georgio in others.

I make an easy pasta salad with chicken and veggies that everyone loves. I boil 2 cups of whole wheat pasta. While that is cooking I saute some cut up chicken breasts in a little bit of olive oil. Once they're done I remove the chicken and place it in a large bowl. To the hot pan I add thinly sliced onions and red pepper. Cook them til soft. Add them to the chicken. When pasta is done I rinse and drain it and add it to the chicken mixture. Then I make a dressing with 2 TBS of olive oil, 2 TBS red wine vinegar, 1 TBS of cold water, 1/2 tsp of salt, 1/2 tsp of minced garlic and 1/4 tsp of pepper Pour it over the pasta and toss in some parmesian cheese. You can add extra veggies. I sometimes throw in some steamed chopped broccoli. It's a great salad hot or cold.

lasagna without a doubt!!! It has all your basic italian ingredients, but I don't eat meat or most dairy so I sub tofu for the cottage cheese and dice up extra veggies: mushrooms, green peppers, and I throw a couple of layers of spinach in it and I put meat only on half for DH. I hope I didn't just gross anyone out!!! ;)

ETA I still smother it in mozzerella!!! I mean SMOTHERED!:9
