I know this has been talked about before but .......?

I started taking Glucosamine Chonditon last week for my achilles tendonitis/plantar facisitis. Okay, I was wondering if I only take this when I have this or do I continue taking it after it has gone away? I was asking the pharmacist questions, but forgot this one. I know some of you ladies can help!

There is also Glucosamine MSM. Is that something that is better?

Do you mean Planters Wart ? Cuz I have a home remedie that works if so .... Sand Paper the heck out of everyday ,in about 3-6 weeks it will be gone !!!,Get a course piece of it too !!!! No Dr or Pharmicist will tell you this trick !!!

In answer to your second question, MSM (methylsyphonylmethane?) is a substance that helps other substances be absorbed by the body. It also helps ligaments. As a liquid, it's been used on lame horses to help bring them back to health. It could make the glucosamine more effective, as well as have its own benefits.

I take a glucosamine/chondroiton(sp) supplement for knee health and I think you have to take it for a period of time before you start to get effects from it, like 30 days or so. I don't know if the results go away when you stop taking it.

I've never heard to taking glucosamine for PF...what worked for my PF was anti-inflamatories and a splint I wore at bedtime. I no longer have issue.

Glucosamine is generally for joint issues.

LOL! Yes, actually I do. I think I've just gotten used to taking them, so they don't bother me too much. Now, my fish oil capsules, on the other hand are even bigger, and those occasionally gag me even thought it's just one. :p

Instead of swallowing huge tablets (I am somewhat sceptical about them breaking down and being absorbed anyway), you can get powdered glucosamine (one is available at www.veganessentials.com , they also have glucosamine as small capsules or mixed with flax meal) or take a tablet and blend it in with a smoothie (works best if you blend it with a little liquid before adding other ingredients, otherwise some chunks could remain and not get blended thoroughly.

They have lotions too, so you can put it right on the spot. Not sure how good they are for what you need but they are great for the knees.
