Today it was in the high 50's and partly sunny. But it was windy and there's still piles of snow on the ground. While at the mall today, I saw several teens in shorts, tank tops and flip flops! I'm sorry, I understand you're excited for winter to be over and that you're probably sick of your sweaters...but you just look dumb. Especially the one girl who was wearing a white cotton mini skirt with white sandals. What ever happened to the "no white before Memorial Day" rule? And you can't claim it's "winter white" when it's a summer skirt and sandals!

What a bunch of dorks.
 
LOL! i have been wearing flipflops for months! but i'm in southeast texas and it has hardly been cold since Christmas! Plus, i follow the shoe rules. :D i bet in snow, that does look pretty funny!

I know what you mean. I went to a Steelers game last year when it was about 35 degrees and there was this busty woman in a white revealing tank top. Obvious, she was just desperately trying to show off. For me, I would prefer to be warm vs showing off. I can't stand to be cold!!!!

Don't ask me. I always thought it was a dumb rule, but I followed it. Actually, I'm not crazy about white shoes, pants, shorts or skirts and never wear them anyway. The only white shoes I like are sneakers, and they're the eception to the rule. I like white sundresses. I sure hope I don't see one of those the next time I'm out and about and it's only 50 degrees outside.
 
I wish I could at least start wearing short sleeve shirts! I'm still wearing long underwear under my long sleeve shirts! I'm always freezing. I don't know why I live in Minnesota.

You're too funny Donna. There's a ritzy kind of mall in NJ, and when spring is officially here, the people that shop there seem to dress for it no matter what the weather. Out come the pastels, capris, tank tops, and cardigans gracefully draped over their shoulders! It's too funny. I think if Maximus is around, she'll confirm- Short Hills Mall.

And I for one miss winter already- love it!
 
Okay, you guys...in Orlando, it was 88 degrees when I left work to go home yesterday. We went right into Summer here x(

Supposedly the no white before Memorial Day/after Labor Day rule is dead. I don't know though--I usually avoid anything white b/c 1) it gets dirty too easily & 2) I feel like it makes me look like a nurse. No offense to the nurses out there, but I bet you don't wear your whites out to dinner on Friday nights! ;-)

I'm in NYC and it got near 60 degrees yesterday...yep, I saw the first shorts of the season being worn on the street. Oh well...it gave me a nice opportunity to flirt with my UPS cutie ("I always know summer is coming when YOU put on your shorts" [**batting eyelashes]).

We had the seventies here in Tucson. It's dropped to 64 and I am glad I didnt pack my winter clothes away. All things bein relative, I am freezing! It's the iced drinks. Why can't I live without iced drinks!

another desert weenie here.. i ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS take a jacket with me where ever i go even when it's 125 degrees outside.. cuz they ALWAYS have the a/c turned down to sub zero (ok.. i exagerate)... but i'm always cold in restaurants and stores! so i'm never without a jacket all summer long!

I have been known to have frozen fingers and blue lips in the heat of summer. And I go outside to thaw out!

Hey, I live next to Phillips Andover Academy and no matter what the weather (and it hasn't really gotten above 50 yet with snow still on the ground), you see miniskirts, flip flops, and my particular favorite, miniskirts with UGG boots!! Summer, fall, winter, there are no rules anymore.

I hear ya on that one Bobbi! Running outside today at lunch, in the mountains of Central Phoenix in 45 degree weather, really made me feel like I have a lot to be thankful for!!!
