I just passed my black belt test!!!

Woo Hoo!!!!
I made it with no broken bones or a concussion!! That was the hardest test I have ever done in my entire life. It was my first time breaking boards and I broke right through them on the first try. Thank God for Cathe's workouts because they definately gave me the stamina to make it through the test. Just another blessing Cathe's workouts gave to me. Just wanted to share.

WOW!! I don't know much about what kind of test you took but I can imagine how intense it was.

I have always been amazed by that breaking boards thing. What a marvelous accomplishment!
 
Congratulations Kris!!

I know first hand how much it takes to get your black belt. I had passed all my screenings (which were brutal) and was 2 weeks away from testing for my black belt when I completely tore off my rotator cuff during a sparring match. I returned a year and a half later only to suffer a hamstring tear. I'm going to give it one more try but this time I'll listen to my body more and not push so hard.

Thank you all so much for the congradulations. Everyone is just so nice and supportive! Boy I 'm really feeling it in my muscles today. I hate to miss a workout especially with Thanksgiving right around the corner but I just have to rest. To Ninja Mom, Don't give up on your test. You really have to train smarter not harder like an athlete would train for an event. If my body felt tired from a hard workout I would rest the next day or do a light workout to cross train my muscles. I also periodized my workouts so the week before my test I tapered off my workouts, and got plenty of rest.

Congrats!!!! Woo Hoo!

This was your first time breaking boards? I had to break a board on every single test I took. I had do a front kick break going from white to white with one tip...my insructor started us out easy. :)
