It's Friday! I KNOW you're happy Katie!

This morning was KM Low Impact Timesaver. It was pretty blah. I'm not a huge fan of KM and the only part I can say I really enjoy is the intensity drills and those are cut out of this premix so I was kinda bored. It had the warm up, 2 arm/leg combos and then the leg conditioning drills. So, ugh. I think I'll go for a walk today. It's supposed to be beautiful out.

Katie, I'm with you on TTOM (it's funny b/c we're obviously on the same cycle... this has happened before!). Anyway, a little midol makes me a much happier person! I hope you feel better today!

Kate, you make me laugh with all your swooning over Mike. :) So cute! YAY! and congrats to you on your skirt. What a great feeling!

Lisa, hi! I feel like we never get to "see" each other! :) I'm with you on the confusion about the best thing to do to see changes. I am thinking of doing the intensity series for a while but need to figure out how exactly to incorporate that.

Colleen, I'm so sorry you're not feeling well. I hope you get better soon. You're right, it is no fun to take time off for being sick. All I can think about when I'm sick is how I want to be better! (((HUGS)))

Klaudia, aside from your reuben (sounded very yummy btw), you seem to be on a roll lately! You mentioned "tear drops" in your thighs the other day. I've never heard that term before... what is it? Keep up the good work!

Robin, ha ha on Hugh Jackman! Were you able to talk yourself into your ellip wo y'day?

Morris, what's the good word on the house? If I were you, I'd be ready to give the house away at this point! Keep up the great work - you are always such a solid inspiration for me!

Anne, how was counseling? I've been thinking about you lately. I'm sorry you haven't been doing well. Are things ok with you and DH? Hang in there!!!

OK, gotta get breakfast cleaned up and get the girls off to school. They have doc appts tonight - just reg check ups. Gotta figure out their whole immunization sched and such.

So, after I dropped the kids off at school, I came back to the house and "watched" my bible study session (have I mentioned that I LOVE beth moore?). Anyway, I made the mistake of watching in my bed and then just wanted to curl up and take a nap. BUT, I got up, forced myself to get myself outside and go for a walk. Well, my walk turned into mostly a run. It just felt too good. I tried to take it easy (run a song walk a song) but I know I'll prob be sore but it was rejuvenating for sure!! :)

Just got out of the shower and now need to get dressed and pick up girls!

Angie, you are a rock star!! I don't really care for KM either - not intense enough for me!

I slept very well, despite the bald-headed baby that crawled into bed at 3 am :p He said last night before bed, "Mommy, I reeeaalllllyyy wanna have a sleepover in your bed one day!" Little stinker! Have I mentioned that I am getting the baby itch?:confused::D

This morning I am going to do a short, freestyle workout -- I'm thinking of alternating 20 reps of each -- plyo move, lower body move, and abs. Weights will stay light for the leg work cause tomorrow is a long run.

I also need to make scones this morning for Chris's friend's at work -- who knew that manly blue-collar men went so crazy for scones?:p I know that Morris asked me for the recipe before and I never posted it:eek: so here it is...

Today I am adding blueberries and lemon zest to mine. I also sprinkle some large sugar crystals on top!

what is frances take on immunizations? i find the country to country differences so fascinating. what do they recommend?
km isnt my fave either, tho i do like the leg cond drills at the end to add on to a leg day.

Katie your scones sound good and enjoy your freestyle. I may try out my many Oxygen workouts. I'm collecting them in a binder now. I'm not sure how I can fit in more weight training. Unless unless I make it in to an circuit??

Kate what ya said...your dad's wife has a big butt :D Take measurements of your core and then weight yourself. That's what I heard on Oprah.

Good news my weight is down 2.5#. I guess measuring out my portions is really working for me...also I stop popcorning at night. If I'm hungry I'll grab protein snack.

So I totally jinxed myself! All that talk of definition, blah, blah and today I wake up looking all soft and mushy all over:( I'll be working extra hard today, that's for sure! I have cardio and abs (that I never did yesterday) on the rotation. I'm thinking Imax 2 is in order! The girls have Field Day today and it's a perfect day out:) Nothing else on the agenda til tomorrow when Danica has dance auditions and recital pictures on Sunday.

Do any of you get M&F Hers? I bought the latest issue and there's a cool workout based on the movie 300. You do 300 reps for time-25 pull ups (assisted), One-arm clean and press (25/side), 50 box jums (20"), 50 lying leg raises w/db, 50 Romanian deadlifts, 50 decline push ups, and 25 pull ups (assisted). You can rest between reps, but not exercises. We do something similar in my kb class. It's crazy hard but a lot of fun-no boredom! The magazine said to do the workout once a week for 8 weeks in addition to your normal training split.

Angie, nice workout! I think pms is messing with what I see in the mirror. The teardrop is that muscle on the inner thigh just above the knee. I think it's from doing narrow stance squats in STS.

Katie, how sweet of Collin! My kids sleep like rocks! Once they're down, they're out for the count:) A workout and baking all before work?! You guys never cease to amaze me!

Kate, she did not:( And she was up at 7:30 this morning! My dad is a trip! I really need to appreciate all he does more and not get so annoyed by his antics! Yeah on the flat tummy! And good luck with STS-the concetration curls were hard for me last night.

Angie, good job on the run! I need to do 4 miles today. The sun is finally out again here (it's been rainy for the last 3 days), so I'm looking forward to being outside.

Counseling last night was a festival of pain. We did this thing called the museum tour. We had to list out *all* things we resent about the other person going back to the beginning of our relationship. It was hard, but it was good. We're on the verge of breaking up again, but we don't want to tell my MIL so we have to wait for her to die before we do anything. Isn't that fun? Yeah, I may go on antidepressants soon. I'm not handling the stress of my life very well.

But, did I tell you guys I'm going to CA? I'm going to a 3 day training session for work. I leave on Sunday. I have to take the red eye back on Wednesday night to get back in time for the dress rehearsal for the recital. So, I leave here tonight to go to MIL's, go to my parents tomorrow, then back to MIL's for Saturday night and leave from there on Sunday. I have to remember to pack for CA today!

Okay, I'll be back later. I had the weirdest dream this morning--I went back to Belgium to visit my host family and I was learning tap dancing while I was there. Very bizarre!

Anne, I am so sorry! I dont think anyone would handle that stress well! HUGSHUGSHUGS. I dont understand tho why listing taht stuff out would HELP. Seems like it would be a reminder of more pain and not be good for forgiving thoughts. But Im not a therapist!
Maybe CA will be a nice break from the routine.

I am finally starting to feel better. Yeah!!! I got up this morning and did KBX good premix. It was perfect - intense enough to get my hr up without overdoing it. I got up a little late so I didn't have time to do core work so I might do it tonight if I am up to it.

Anne, (((((HUGS))))) I'm so sorry to hear about you and DH. UGH. I agree with Kate in that I don't understand dredging up resentments but maybe it's a good idea to get things out in the open. I'll be praying for you. It breaks my heart b/c I know of so many marriages that are on the rocks these days. :(:(

I only did cardio for 1/2 hr...my knees told me to stop, so I did. I did do CC intervals which is a great way to burn cal. I need the stretch too.

Thanks, guys! I knew you would be supportive and I want you to know I really appreciate it.

LOL, Kate, it was good because it helped us identify things we need to work on.

I finally realized we haven't been focusing on trying to improve our relationship because we have too much other stuff going on with our families. So now we have to decide if we're willing to put the work in to make things better. We'll see.

Angie, it's beautiful in MI too:) Milla is always taking my ear off! Funny I used to be so worried she'd NEVER talk and now I can't get her to stop!

Anne, We're not putting our marriage forst right now either. Whiel I don't see us suffering too badly for it I know we need some US time away from all the girls.
