Angie - I don't pull out KM much either. Someone on the other thread suggested doing the blasts first then the combos and leg to make it a better workout. I've been doing that ever since and it makes it better for me.

Katie - Baby bug huh? We'll be waiting for an "announcement" sometime this year, lol.

Robin - 30 min is better than nothing I always say. I'm hoping my knees don't tweak since I've been running a lot lately.

Kate - I saw your recipe for the banana bars on the other thread and I think I might try make them since we have so much bananas right now. I might add the choc chips though

Anne - I'm so sorry for the stress you're having with DH right now. You always sound so strong that I wouldn't even have guessed you were going through so much. We're here if you need to let loose and spew.

Morris - So sorry about the fd. Hope it gets better soon. I know how draining it can get. Glad the run was good for you.

Colleen - Yay for feeling human again!

Klaudia - You reminded me that I need to "clean and tidy" my house also.

Today is my day off so errands here I come. I am also happy to say that I was able to go for a run this morning. I only had 30 or so minutes because DH has to go to work so I ran as fast and far as I could. I had my mp3 player which helped. I was surprised at how far I was able to run in 30min. I am planning on weights later today. Off to eat breakfast - kashi cereal and banana!

Kate, Little Panda was okay, but I prefer Asia's Finest (near S. Cedar and 96). Yes, the recital is a week from tomorrow! Tonight's the last class before dress rehearsal next Thursday. I'm getting very excited. Tap is the good, happy thing in my life right now! I can't say I'm familiar with the baby bug, but if it bit you I'd be happy for you!

Lisa, thanks. This is just a really tough time in my life right now and I'm doing the best I can. Some days are better than others. Good for you on the run this morning.

Morris, {{{{HUGS}}}}} back at you. I'm very sorry for the family drama. I'm glad the run helped relieve some stress for you.

Klaudia, is N napping? I hope so! Thank you for the kind words. Some day we'll both be happy again, it's just a matter of whether or not we can be happy together.

Katie, how did the scones turn out this morning?

Robin, I'm very much looking forward to my trip. It will be great to get away, even for just a few days. What did you have for lunch today? Good for you for stopping your work out when your knees told you to.

Angie, thanks for the hugs and prayers, I'll take anything I can get right now! Did you get your vacuuming done?

Colleen, thank you too. I'm so glad you're feeling better. Do you get to relax this weekend?

I'm feeling much better this afternoon. I'm catching up on work stuff so I can be gone, doing laundry, and I need to pack soon. Oh, yeah, and I met friends for lunch instead of going for a run. I'm a super-bad, evil person, did you know that? I'm right up there with Hitler, Stalin, and Pol Pot. That's just about how much crap I heap on myself just for missing a work out. Messed up, huh? I'm working on it...

bb before I leave for tap.

Klaudia or Kate, are any of your kids into Thomas the Tank Engine? I'm guessing no, but just in case:

For more information visit the Childrens Library, 313-833-1490.

finn would love that train thing - he spends all his newfound potty time reading about thomas:D anne, i think that is great "self-care" as my therapitst says to go to lunch with friends instead of working out. i am all for working out, and it makes me feel better usually, but human contact esp with girlfriends is the best!

lisa, great run and wo this am. any more thoughts on a rotation? i like 1 body part per day b/c it is short, but i like splits b/c they are fun, but, my body really responds to total ub wo's. confusing, i know.

i got my leg work done. tomorrow will be super busy getting ready for our open house sunday. also have to make time to see my mom tomorrow. she was crying on the phone all morning to me (3rd day in a row) and i finally told her i could not talk to her about it anymore b/c it was affecting my ability to be a good wife and mom. how horrid am i??

Morris, that's not horrid at all! That's called standing up for yourself so you can do a good job taking care of your family. I know your mom is your family, too, but your first priority has to be your young children. Your mom knows that, she just can't see it right now because she's in so much pain (okay, I don't know that, I'm just guessing). Is she getting any help? Maybe she needs an antidepressant...

anne

Anne - Are you getting nervous/excited about your recital? Break a leg, can't wait to hear how it goes!

Morris - I find that my body responds to total ub also. That's why I love PUB, but I don't always have time for it. I tried the 1 body part per day, but felt like it wasn't enough even though I know it was totally psychological. I have to get past that thinking. I might try it again though. The GS series work good for me, but that also can suck up time. I think I'll try the 4DS weights and stick with that for a couple weeks to see if it helps. I think that's 2 body parts per day. I know if I didn't do so much cardio, I would have time, but it's hard for me to give up my cardio. It's a stress reliever.

Bfast done and Pomai is napping. Off to errands when she gets up.

Lisa

Shh! Do you hear that? It's the sound of silence:) Nevena went down without a fight and the girls and the little boy I watch are playing with friends:) I just finished my workout. Ended up doing a 30 minute incline interval run/walk-2 minute runs at 6.0 mph on the inclines and 2 minute walks at 4.0 on the recovery, except for the last one-I walked at 4 mph at 10% incline. I upped the incline every interval by 2%. Got good and sweaty. Still need to do some abs.

Field Day was fun-brought my healthy lunch and snuck a few baked cheetos:)

Morris, hugs to you, too! Anne is right-your priority is your family, especially your little ones. You did the right thing. Great workout, as usual!

Kate, I don't mind vacuuming either, but I usually don't get the chance-Darrin always does it! I hear you on the marriage on the back burner. We need to make more time for each other too-and not just at night!

Lisa, I'm glad I could remind you to clean-ha! Enjoy your day off! I'm going to start 4Ds after my recovery week-let's see how strong STS made me!

Anne, my girls like to play with trains, but don't get into the train shows. Funny-there was a character dressed like Thomas when we went out to dinner on Wed-can you imagine that poor guy? And lunch with friends is just as good at releasing endorphins, ok? Pol Pot you are not! Hey! That rhymed! By the way, Nevena keeps talking about you every time we go passed Strawberry Fields, "Member, we went there with Miss Anne and we saw the Easter Bunny and...:)

anne,, thanks for the thomas info....unfort that sat is lil sis's open house and i dare not pull tht trip solo!:eek::eek:

kl, lol @ silence! its a beautiful thing!
props on your wo!!!!
im thinking 4ds too.......
the sad thing abt our marriage is we arent even making time for it at night. not for months. nursing screws w/ my hormones something fierce. im totally turned OFF @ the thought of ...... :(. its not like im married to a nasty fatty either! feel like i need to go see someone but i dont want artificial hormones or anything so what could they even do?

Thanks, Klaudia, that was such a nice coincidence with the Easter Bunny, wasn't it? I really enjoyed getting together with you and your girls.

Kate, sorry for the marriage stuff. I tell ya--people always said it was work, but I never understood what kind. I'm starting to, but it feels like we're starting from scratch almost. We've done a really good job of alienating each other in some ways. What's funny, though, is we don't fight or anything and we get along quite well. It's just really awkward sometimes.

I'm almost done packing--the problem with doing laundry and packing in the same day is some of the stuff I want to take is still wet!

anne

Okay, I'm off in a few minutes. I don't know if I'll be able to check in next week. I'm not taking a laptop, so I'll have to see what kind of Internet access I have. There might be something at the hotel, I forgot to look.

I hope everybody has a good week! I'll miss you.

anne

anne, have a safe trip. you will be missed.

kate, wtg on the clean eats. i was decent today, not as tight as i wanted though.

kl, great wo! i will have to try something like that sometime. i love my hilly route and will miss that in florida.

lisa, get any cleaning done?

rough night here -too much whinning, and it was all "moooommmmmeeeee" yummy dinner of green beans and fish. bbin the am

Morris - No cleanmax today....yet. Don't you love mommy days, not. Gotta love them no matter what though.

Kate - I totally relate with you regarding the nursing and hormones. I think I'm a born again virgin and could be a nun right now. I'm hoping it gets better when nursing tapers off or when P weans.

Anne - Have a good weekend!!

Klaudia - Good wo! Yay for silence! Gotta love it!

Lisa

Save me from these wicked pms cravings! I really want some frozen custard from this place down the road. Ugh. And I had a really good dinner-2 chicken sausages (130 cals each!) and grilled veggies-no pasta (except for the one I tested doneness with!) I am bloated and feeling blah:( I hate ttom.

Kate and Lisa I was the exact same way when I nursed. What my excuse is now, I have no idea!

Morris, when is it not "Mommmmmyyy"?!

Anne, safe travels and have a great time!

Morris, Sorry about whinemax!:p Hope the weekend goes good for you - and drama-free! Is DH around for a while?

Lisa, I'm SO GLAD i'm not the only one! I am so freaking "dry" it hurts to wipe sometimes:eek:. I used to bleed when wiping....TMI? My word, it hurts! LOL at born-again virgin! It's been so long I'm gonna feel like a virgin when we finally do it again! ha!!!!:p

Klaudia, Your dinner sounds yum! I have some ch saus to use up too....maybe tomorrow I'll make something with it. I like to top homemade pizza w/ it. MM!
No sweets! Sugar slows the metabolsm and promotes cancer cell growth!

STS is done!!!! yayyayayayayayayayay! I'm so looking forward to an active recovery week!
And guess what else? I SO WANTED to skip it and make cookies instead to eat warm in bed w/ ice cream. But I said to myself, "Self, you are an athlete. You do not fill your body with junk. You are strong and powerful and will exceed the amount that measly workout card tells you to lift!" AND I KICKED BUTT!!!!!
And while we were working out Mike was commenting that my midsection is looking much tighter! If only I had a sex drive I would "thank" him..... sigh. Maybe next year.....
