Susan do I scan and save to my desktop first, and if I do will it automatically come out in color once I go to picturetrail or do I have to set it up in color at the scanner. I'm doing this from work.

The pics I'm using now are old. They are ones my husband took and sent me by email years ago. I'm not certain how you get a photo onto your computer, sorry. But, if you know, or someone at work does, save your picture in "My Pictures" file folder.
So, go to the picture trail website, click on Sign Up for Free, put in a User name and password, and Submit.
There are instructions on the site that leads you step by step.

Try scanning it and putting it on a floppy disk, or cd... then you don't have to save it to your work computer desktop.... Rhonda

I think I will have a friend from home do it and save it on a cd/disk as Rhonda advised, b/c my original pic got (and still is) stuck in the scanner here at work;( .

I can't wait to hear the comments when it's removed.....oh well

BTW, that's the genetic booty I've been talking about all along.
