Hi Everyone (who is checking on the weekend) -
I am at work today so please post to keep me entertained! This morning I did a run/walk for about 45 min for 3 miles. I ran the first 15 min or so, and then didn't really feel like running the rest so walked it instead. I am just a little out of shape.
So I started on my new healthier diet. Yesterday at the grocery store we stocked up on some fruits and veggies, the main thing missing from my diet. My goal is to eat one fruit with breakfast, one fruit as a midmorning snack (I am always starving before lunch), trying for one or two veggies at lunch (easiest to do if I get a salad), and 2-3 veggies at dinner. My dinner plate will now consist of 1/2 veggies and 1/4 each of lean protein and whole grain starch. Usually it was about 1/2 starch and 1/4 of the others. I am also going to cut out any dessert for a while, as it has become more of a habit than something I truly enjoy. This should hopefully help with energy and losing the last couple pounds and fitting into my favorite jeans. Let me know if anyone has any other recommendations or if this doesn't look like a good idea for some reason.
