I Hate Cardio - Aug 2

Good choices Michele - I love GS and Lowmax. And the leg conditioning drills from Kickmax hurt in a good way. I haven't tried Stretchmax, but tivos a couple segments of it from Fittv.

So I just got back from my appointment with ob/gyn. Good news is that everything looks good to start babymaking. Bad news is that I don't really like this doctor. She seems really smart, but was way too "medical" for me. No personality, not trying to bond with me or make me feel comfortable. Just didn't like her, she seemed cold. So I will ask around and try and find another dr, hopefully I will like the next one.
 
I had the same experience with a woman OB/GYN a few years ago. She didn't have one iota of bedside manor. This is why I always recommend finding the BEST doctor regardless of their gender. I would look into the "Best Doctor in America" list and see who's on it from your area. There's sure to be a woman or 2 on there.
 
Ahh Diane, that is such a bummer! I really wish she would have worked out for you, I really wish you could go to my Dr. Damm insurance! Tell the ins company they just need to pay the claims and shsh!
Real big bummer! Maybe it was just a first visit, you know how they go sometimes. The first visit w/my Dr was a bit difficult too, but as time went by we really bonded. Ob/Gyn Dr's are funny, they have a very dry personality, but are there when you need them most of the time. I do understand you need to feel good and comfy with your Ob/Gyn. I will ask around and see if anyone else is out there.

Michele-excellent choices. You will love the GS series. Cathe looks so fab in that series! I will say after you do it, eat the August pancake and you will avoid a lot of DOMS since you feed your muscles protein and carbs.
 
Every ob/gyn that I had before at least tried to get to know me a little bit. And she said everything like she was a computer or medical dictionary or something. When I say "We are going to start TTC in October" there is not "Oh that is great, lets talk about that." It is, "do you have any questions?" Anyway, hopefully by friend on maturnity leave at work will write back soon and tell me who she used. At least I will KNOW that they will be on my insurance.

Diane - that's great about the Go from the doctor. And if you don't like the doctor, I think it's great that SHE gets a Go, too.


Anyway, I have good news about peanut butter. It has the same mystical sleeping powers as green beans. I just finished my protein oatmeal and am busy digesting. Geez, these days it seems I'm a whiz at digestion - it's like half an hour after I eat my meal I'm hungry again. But I'll wait a little longer and then do my S&H legs and shoulders. I'm still torn as to whether to do this or not (knees). Hmm. Maybe I'll do them lightly and throw in 20 minutes of Winsor buns and thighs.

Wow, adding on an extra workout sounds like the mini me version of Kate.
 
I am almost done with this class and then I insisted on taking a 1 week break before I became bald from stress. I did not do good at all in this class, I kept getting lost and unable to catch up. This teacher was just really bad too and offered very little help. I am going to be sooooooo happy when I am done. I need a break to get my house together and spend some time with the kiddo. I am going to try the peanut butter tonight. I need some sleep!! I also need to stop eating!!!! bad, bad, bad!!!

I had a chicken story today too. I went to make some and bought the chicken on Sunday, pulled it out of the fridge, open the package and uhhh it smelled funny...threw it out...not worth getting sick over it......soooo mad!!! It was a $9.00 package of free range organic fed chicken. I might have just light a $10 bill on fire and let it burn. I was sooo mad!! Not only that, but the organic broccoli I bought on Sun also smelled bad so I had to throw that out too! We just bought a new fridge when we moved in here, so I don't think it is the fridge, I am not sure what is causing it.

When do you have KM on your rotation again??? I miss KM!!

Urgh, that sucks about that class. It's usually nice when the teacher actually helps. ;) When will this all be finished with?

Gyuck, good for you for not chancing on the chicken. Ten years ago I ate under-cooked chicken and lost more weight than I could ever imagine! It was thrilling! It's also the one and only time in my life that I have ever passed out. Oh well, at least it's a good party story. That's why to this day I wash my chicken and everything and anything it touches, and when cooking chicken, I tear it into a bzillion pieces to make sure it's done.

(By the way, the under-cooked chicken I ate was not made by yours truly...it was served at a restaurant serving a chicken course - and one of the courses, believe it or not, was half-cooked chicken.)

Ewwww, bad broccoli must stink to high heaven.

I know, I'm loving my KM and my blasts (just you wait, Michele!). It's not on my rotation until next friggen Friday :-( ! But who knows, I've got KPC tomorrow and I might just do a switcheroo...

I just finished S&H legs and shoulders. I know I've said this the last few times I've done this workout, but I'm now really really changing to just floor work. The weightless semi-squats and lunges just ain't doin it for me. But man, I love that shoulder work!
