I had to bring it up again -The MOVE - what's the deal?

Amen.....my butt was off the ground, but not my feet. My arms and whole body are really short.

It was also hard to do it because the minute she hoisted herself, I started laughing and said "Well, now I've seen everything!"

On two threads a while ago, i posted about the lotus. If you can do the lotus this move is really easy, honest. However getting into the lotus, thats another story.

Holy arm strength batman!!!!

I got my DVD's yesterday and just opened coremax today...did the first segment. My butt made slight clearance for a split second -but legs and feet didn't follow suit. I now have a new goal! I wonder if I can do this by June???

All I could think of while doing coremax was how cute Cathe looks and what beautiful arms she has. Wow.

Man I've tried this move twice and each time I felt paralyzed in my armpits and boobs. Thought I was having a stroke. Even when I get this dvd, I will not attempt to do this b/c I'm not trying for three strikes you're out.

I'm short-armed and lack flexibility in my shoulders, so this move is a work-in-progress for me.;)

You know what I love about this part of Core Max? When Cathe starts levitating, watch Brenda and Rhonda in the background. Brenda is smiling and giggling during most of it, along the lines of "you've GOT to be kidding me." Makes me smile through my grimacing.

I finally got my butt off the mat but my abs were shaking so bad, I was swinging back and forth like a darn monkey!

I hear ya Pinky!!!! I can do this move the first few times with no problem. I can even hold it as long as they do....but after 5 or 6 times....here comes the swinging monkey....:)

I can do this, sometimes, for short periods (but if you look at Brenda and Rhonda, they don't always get all the way off the ground, either). The "Secret" is not to bend at the wrists, which makes it tough on them, and seemingly impossible for me to do), but to splay our fingers, and bend where the fingers join the hand. This is how I used to do push-ups for quite a while, when my carpal tunnel would sometimes bother me.

The problem I had with the levitation move, when I could get up, was that I tended to tip backwards! Guess I'll have to experiment with hand placement!
