Hey guys haven't been on for a while. I've been busy with school. Anyway my workouts have been really great and been doing them on time and have been working hard everyday. about, two days ago I fell off the exercise wagon just because of being busy and stuff you know. It's happend before and I've gotten back on but today it's still hard to excersise. I was doing Cathe step and I got kinda shakey. I don't know what thats comming from so I stopped working out to catch my breath and cool down I'm think it could be beacuse I need to eat something or i don't know it's just very frustrating! It was also very dizzy. So does anyone have any advice? please I think a little later I'm gonna try again After I have something to eat....maybe?

Hi, Luis! Good to "see" you again!

I think you should call it a day as far as working out is concerned, especially if you got dizzy as well as really breathless and flushed. Eat a good, healthy BIG meal and hydrate well this evening, and see how you feel tomorrow. If you feel well enough to work out tomorrow, try a non-step workout like one of Cathe's kickbox routines, and do a little weight work as well. Above all else, listen to your body and STOP if you get the shakes and dizziness again.

Also, make sure your workout area is cool and well-ventilated. I don't know what the weather is like in your part of the country right now, but my area is getting warmer and much more humid, which can affect breathing quality and oxygen exchange. Also make sure to have cold water handy during your workout and take water breaks.

Hello!

I have also gotten the "shakes" while working out before. That usually means that my blood sugar is a little low. No, I don't have diabetes, but this does happen to me once every blue moon. When it happens, I stop exercising, and go eat a banana or something, plus drink a bunch of water. I wait a little while and then resume my workout. It works for me . . .

RE: I got the

Not Cathe, but I have a small case of low blood sugar and will also get the shakes if I do a hard workout without being properly nourished. A banana with peanut butter or some oatmeal usually does the trick if I am feeling that way.

And if I were you, I wouldn't feel bad about "falling off the wagon" for two days...when I fall off the wagon, it's for a week or two! ;-)
