Hi everyone,
Thanks for any great advice on the power strike video.I ordered power strike #2 and got it yesterday.I did it last night and my upper body is ssooooo sore.I haven't felt this sore in a long time.
Last night when I went to bed my triceps and shoulders started to hurt, but now my biceps are starting to kick in.Besides for that, it was a rotation day yesterday so after the work out I decided to push myself a little further and I did CTX bic, tri, and a tiny bit of shoulders.
I also oredered tamilee webbs I want those abs...I didn;t get a chance to do that one yet.Do you think that powerstrike #1 is also a good purchase? Did anyones legs hurt after powerstrke #2.Mine don't, i found that were alot of punches.
Anyway....hope I soon getover the pain so I can do it again. Thanks everyone
Lori

Hi Lori,

You'll get use to the upper body work and you'll be less sore with each time you do the powerstrikes. They are both such great workouts, and you'll see and feel your endurance improving over time. My arms use to get tired during some of the combos, but now I've noticed they don't tire as easily and my form is really improving.
#1 is a good video as well. The differences are subtle, such as in video #1 there is more emphasis on front kicks and back kicks, and little on side kicks, but lots of arm drills like in video #2. Also at the end of video #1, just before the cool down there is a "cardio burst" where you do a combo of front push kicks/jumping jacks and because you're already pretty wiped out by that time, that segment seems to last an eternity (at least to me :)) but then a really long and relaxing cool down follows.
But I love both videos, and am anxiously awaiting #3! :)

LOL. I did Powerstrike #1 yesterday and this a.m. my butt and hams are sore!!! I traded away #2 (I hate to be blasphemous here) cuz I thought they were just too similar. Maybe not? Course, we all have different strengths and weaknesses.

Donna, when you get #3, be sure to post about it. (I know you will). If it's significantly different from 1 & 2, it'll be in my house.

Do these workouts come in DVD? I'm having trouble finding cardios that are low impact but still tough. It sounds like they are better than Tae-Bo. When you say lots of arm drills...its not ages and ages of those punching bag drills?
I hate doing those! Plus is the speed of the combos reasonable? I find Tae-Bo sometimes goes too fast for proper form plus the uneven counting bothers me. Is the music and outfits up to date?

There are a lot of punching and some of it is fast punching.I am sure I wasn't ready to be on a video yet.I don't think my form was the best..lol.Anyway,I made it although I feel more sore now then I did when I got up.But I ordered #1.I think I need to add my kick boxing to see some changes in my body.

I hear you Robin. I just got Powerstrike I and II this week and did #1 yesterday. My gluts have never been so sore in my life- and I am a runner and can do all of Cathe's tapes with not much difficulty. I am having a hard time keeping up with my 18 mo old today!
