I feel old :(

Thank you all for your thoughts and responses! The last week or two, I feel like everyone is thinking something different than I, so am I missing something!!?!?!?!? I even have a LOT of women tell me these things and that is when I start to worry that I am missing something!

...as for the cutie at the gym, well, I am TOTALLY flattered...I really am!! I've come to the conclusion that he must think I am younger than I really am b/c when I am there working out, I sweat all of my make up off and have my hair back, etc. Then again, a friend reminded me that when I arrive (and I have arrived many times at the same time as him), I am dressed for work (stuffy lawyer apparel!) and later change my gym clothes. Who knows...but I guess I shouldn't knock the compliment!

Christine,

You sound like my daughter. She turned 30 this year and said the same thing. I'm sure I said the same thing at your age. I've got to tell you though...at 50 I feel better and I think LOOK better than I ever have. Maybe knowing this will make you feel more hopeful.

Christine-
As a lawyer, your career takes a lot of time and attention. Now is the time to put in the long hours and climb that career ladder, while you're still young and relatively unattached. Then later, when you want to start a family, it will be easier to take more leisure time.

As long as the younger guys still think you're hot, you should feel pretty good. There was some point at which I became invisible to younger men. I think it was somewhere in my forties. They don't look at you, just through you. That's still a long way off for you, so enjoy being on the radar screen while you can. Ooops, hope that isn't more reality than you wanted to hear.

But I'll tell you this: if you marry the right guy (like I did), you will always feel beautiful and attractive just by looking in his eyes, and the years won't mean a thing. I kid you not.
