I did my 1st Cathe workout

Hi everyone,
I recently joined this forum and you all gave me some suggestions on which Cathe videos to begin with after being an intermediate exerciser for some time now. I anxiously received my videos on Thursday. I did my first workout Friday a.m. (I did cardio kicks).
I can honestly say I got a kick a** workout. I only had to march in place a few times. That video kicked my butt and I am feeling the effects of it today. I feel like I have been beaten with a 2X4. I have had to take some extra strength motrin a few times throughout today. I enjoyed the workout, and I know I have to work my way up to an advanced level. I also use the firm, watp, and taebo and I thought I was getting a strenuous workout, until I did Cathe. I ordered several videos and I can't wait to do the next one.
I'm curious, was anyone else this sore after doing Cathe videos for the first time?

Congratulations! You are well on your way to becoming a bona-fide Cathe addict!!!

And, yes, the day after I did Cardio Kicks for the first time (and the second, and the third, maybe still now?) I felt like I literally had been hit by a Mack truck. Seriously. It really depends on how much you put into those power drills that is the clencher I think. And, if you use good form. Some say they never feel a thing! Kickboxing all around is great for that all over body hurt (especially in the back).

Whatya gonna try next?????

the 1st time i did cathe.......i felt like i belonged in icu afterwards. the workout was mic.........great w/o, but not for a cathe newbie!!!!!!! welcome to our world!!!!!!

I am going to do circuit max next. Hopefully some of this soreness will have eased soon and i'll be able to make it through this video (I'm planning to do this one Monday, just working out on treadmill this weekend) .I plan to workout to Cathe at least 3 days a week to begin with. I think this may work for a Cathe beginner.:D

First workout- Power Hour...Hurts Sooooo Good, Baby!!! I love a good hospital stay worthy workout...hahahaha}( }( }(

Congratulations! Don't you feel so accomplished? Cardio Kicks was also my first Cathe cardio workout. I actually think I started to cry when I finished it; I was so happy that I got through it all. And yes, there was lots of pain the next day (don't you just love that sort of pain?). I still sometimes get major doms whenever I try a new tape. For example, I just started using Push Pull this month (doing the double set premix), and my legs were screaming the next day. Each time I use it, however, the pain gets less and less (bummer).

Have fun with all you new workouts,
Shelbygirl

Congratulations and welcome! You look like a Disney fan. Note on your Mickey ears: you can eliminate the broken box that precedes the image by deleting the extraneous characters on that line in your profile. It took me about a year to figure that out for myself. No need for you to wait that long :D

YES! To answer your question about being sore the first time - LOL!! I was a former "Firm Believer" and also thought of myself as an "advanced" exerciser until I found Cathe. Now I huff and puff my way through that ninth interval in Imax2 and I stop and stare at the TV screen as I end up - yet again - on the wrong side of the step in the third combo of Step Blast if I haven't done it in a month or so. The thing I love about Cathe's workouts is they continually challenge me. I never feel like I've mastered any of them, because you can always do the interval a little better ... and you can always add five more pounds to the barbell!

Welcome to the madness!! Soon, you'll own them all!! (You can't resist ... so don't even try ... LOL!!)
