I did it! I did it! I know that some of you won't be impressed because you are way more in shape than I am but this morning I did the whole Low Max DVD with the blasts!!! I've been just doing the premixes on Cathe's workouts but I did this one all the way through! My legs are like jello now! But I feel like I accomplished something.
I have a question on another thing, I can't do the pikes on some of those core workouts. Any suggestions? My DH laughs at me when I'm teetering all over the place on the stability ball and finally fall off!

Low max is like a leg workout for me. My legs always feel like jello after I'm done. So good job!!

As for pikes. I practiced just balancing in a plank position first, then those roll in and out and then the pikes. With pikes think of hiking your but to the ceiling not moving your legs forward that tip really helped me. Practice, practice and more practice also helps. good luck

ETA: oh I forgot to say I still fall off my ball some or it goes flying across the room LOL!!

Hi LeAnn~
I'm impressed as I've just made it through the workout myself! Oh my gosh were my legs noodle-y, jello-y, & rubbery-e all at once. Funny thing, I always considered myself an advanced exerciser.....until I tried Cathe's w/os!! Now I feel like I'm at the bottom of the ladder again--hehe.
Congrats on the GREAT accomplishment!!!:) :)

Heck, that's not sissy work! Lo Max is a great tough wo if you put your heart (legs, core, etc...) into. As for pikes, I finally got those today:7 I think it is more a balance issue - once I had the core strength it still took forever to get those pikes.

Thanks everyone! Now I feel better! My next challege is to do the Step Blast with the "blasts"! However, I see they do those tuck jumps and as much as I try, I look like a nerd because my "tuck" is a whole 2 inches and I'm slow I get two reps for their every three or four. Gymnist I'm not!!!

I think that's awesome. You should be impressed with yourself. Hope you can still walk tomorrow}( :p

On pikes, it just takes a lot of practice. I lost a lot of core strength during my pregnancy and when I got back into the ab/core work I put the ball more under my knees/thighs than my feet/shins. As I got stronger I just kept moving it more toward my feet(Gosh I hope this makes sense:)).

Good luck.

I did LO MAX for the first time this morning. I must say I wasn't ALWAYS doing what Cathe was, but I was always doing SOMETHING and I came pretty close. It was a good workout nonetheless. My goal is to do everything as she does.
I am planning on doing MM tonight. I hope I can walk tomorrow as I am new to Cathe!!!

Hello -- I can now report as of this morning that I too have done all of Low Max! During the week I only have an hour in the morning, so I usually did 5 of the segments, but this being a weekend, I went the distance. I feel wonderful!

Again, this may not impress many. However, I'm 56 and once weighed 305 pounds. I have some issues with my knees because I carried around way too much weight for too many years. I now weigh around 115, so life has changed a lot for me. My body bears some reminders of all those extra pounds in the way of a handful of loose skin at the bottom of my tummy that no amount of core work will take away. However, if Playboy never seeks me out for a centerfold, I can live with it! I can move, and I can work out with Cathe, the best instructor out there!

It's a wonderful way to begin the weekend.

WOW little angel I am totally impressed with your results!! And yes ist is a big deal to complete low max. Although it's a lowimpact workout it is still considered an advanced workout. So give yourself credit and lots of it. Keep up the good work.

Little Angel ..that is incredible! I am 48 myself and may never do some of the most difficult Cathe workouts, but that's ok. I am happy that I have found so many that are good for me. I just did KickMax on the low impact premix and it was great! so much fun and I could tell the next day it hit the right spots. I can't wait to see if I can advance to the whole thing!!
Congrats on you finishing all of Low Max!
