My daughter often watches channel 36. On our t.v its a channel that as all kinds of different shows on there. Some about debt, animals, weightloss, home makeovers...quit the variety and she watches this channel all the time.
Last night she was watching a weightloss/workout show where they take a persons measurments, put them on a eating program and workout with them.
She says to me, (she is 12) "I wonder what my measurments are" So she took them. I couldn't beleive that there was only 1" difference in our body parts! She is quit the little thing...almost my height but 20 lbs lighter.I wouldn't have told her for a sec that we were almost the same. I think b/c I am 29 and she is 12 she sometimes sees me in sister form so I think if I had told her the truth she would have been mad...not sure why, but she would have been!

Just thought Id share. Made me realize my butt wasn't as big as i thought it was

Interesting . . . and I wouldn't say your tail side is big.

Saw an Oprah show a couple weeks ago where women were trying to gain self esteem about their bodies. Took their clothes off (down to the undies) and critiqued themselves. Then were asked to put themselves in the correct place in line where women of smaller and larger sizes were lined up in order of their size.

Every one of them on the show portrayed themselves as at least a couple inches larger in the hips and waist than they really were.

I am very critical of myself and it made me giggle to myself as I saw myself in each of them.

Jacque that Oprah bit reminds me of a segment that happens on How to Look Good Naked which is on Lifetime.

My SO and I watch that show now and again and he's gaining a lot of knowledge about women's body image issues.

Very interesting stuff!

>Well, wow. Don't I feel like a cow now? I'm pretty sure my
>thigh is bigger than my DD's waist.:p
>

At one time my thighs were probably ALMOST as big as my SIL's WAIST!!!!   How's THAT for depressing!!!!x(

Hi Lori,
Wow, I looked at your pics & you are in great shape. Just wanted to say...I prob. wouldn't tell her that your about the same as I have seen this develop into an unhealthy competition between my sister & mom some years ago. Basically, my mom lost a bunch of weight & was excited that she could fit in my sisters clothes...but I think it made my sister feel bad. :(
