I caved and bought the TLT's - ? about the ball

I'm so bad when it comes to new workouts and resisiting temptation. I finally caved in an orderd the TLT's - all of 'em. I know a Cardio Coach workout isn't far behind, thanks to all the enablers on this forum. ;)

So here's my question - For those of you doing the TLT's, is a 4lb weighted ball a reasonable weight to start with on these, or would you recommend more or less weight?

TIA

Gayle, I started with three pounds and that was still a tough workout. I guess it depends on your fitness level...

PS: You don't need to buy them at that super-expensive site. Look in WalMart or TJ Maxx, as you can get them for a couple of bucks each.

I just bought 3lbs. at $3.99 each and they had 2lbs. at $2.99 each at TJ Maxx. I got them in preparation for the TLT's but I haven't purchased the workouts yet. I'm just setting the stage for now! :p
I always find cheaper exercise stuff at these stores. WalMart has yoga blocks for like $5.00 each and everywhere else they're a minimum of $10.00 each. Don't ya just love the markup?

I have a 3,4, and 5 lb ball. I use the 3 and the 4 lb ball (mostly the 4 lb ball now). I just can't do the overhead swinging moves with anything higher at this point without losing my form. Honestly, I don't use my 5 lb ball at all....but I'm a lightweight wimp..;)

I started doing these with 3# (because I had Karen Voight Green Genies around) , then went to 4#. 4 is a good start.

I got my 4# weight, a Valeo ball (pretty raspberry color!) at Amazon. I got two 4# and 2 6# (to also use with my FitBall Upper Body Challenge workouts) and free shipping. All together, 4 balls for under $40.
