I'm telling you I cannot get the discs out. I'm afraid I'll snap them in half. HELP!!!
The first page of Mesc 1 is already broken at the binder. Not sure I did it or it came that way but I can't get the freakn' discs out!!!!!:(

Put your hand under the plastic sleeve, like you were cupping something in your palm, so that the pressure is around the disc - the DVD should loosen up enough for you to lift it. When putting the disc back, the pressure should be placed in the center of the disc. My husband explained this to me in scientific terms, which I didn't understand, but putting the pressure around the DVD, as opposed to in the center of it, really helps me get the disc off the sleeve with hardly any 'work'.

First, separate the leaf from the other leaves (the picture does not show this)that you want to remove the disc from. This will allow the leaf to bend a little making the disc easier to remove. Then as shown in the picture gently push the inner hub with your thumb and gently pull on the disc with your forefinger. For stubborn discs you may need to work your way around the disc gently pulling on the disc at each finger hole location. Once the disc releases the first time it will be much easier to remove in the future. It is also a good idea to let your DVDs warm up to room temperature as cold seems to make the plastic more brittle and stiff.

Maybe you should make a tutorial about how to remove the discs from the case.

I'm just kidding, of course!!! :p

This photo is actually not the best approach - what I've found works best is to use two hands. One the press down the center thingy on the disc holder, and the other, to lift the disc out of the case. You need the two hands because lifting the disc from just one point doesn't work well. You kind of have to work around it a little bit. All very gently, of course. I've learned this through trial and error, as I too thought I was going to break the disc, the case, my nails or a combination of the above.

I took all of mine out and put them in a dvd binder so I wouldn't have to worry about cracking a dvd or the case each morning. The biggest problem with them is that the clear plastic middle doesn't release them nearly as easily as the regular dvd cases. (I put some of my other Cathe workouts into the binder afterwards and was amazed at how much easier they pop out).

All that aside, it was possible for me to get them all out without cracking or breaking anything. Phew!

Works like a charm!! Thanks Jilly -- this was great advice. I haven't had any trouble removing the discs from the cases. A couple of them were tougher than others to coax out, but I can't complain at all. As far as the cases go -- I suppose that type of plastic is more likely to crack than others, but I've NEVER found a DVD/CD case that I thought was any good. They ALL have some issue. ;)

After reading about all of the problems I just went and tried to remove each one of the disks in all three case sets. With mine M1 was really tough and, in fact, I broke one of the centers of the holder and will be writing now to CS for replacement. However, with M2 and M3 I did not have any problems at all. I'm guessing there is something in the manufacturing process and different job lots that is causing some people to have difficulty and others not.

LOL!

that is so funny! they are rather hard to get out. but well worth it when you go the workouts.
