I can do bootcamp!

I am so excited about doing BC yesterday. At the end of my yardsale, I got the boys down for their nap, rearranged the garage some more, then down to the real business of the day. This was only my second time doing BC, but I was thrilled to find that two weeks later I could get through almost all of it. I even did those terminators things on interval seven (all but the last two or three anyway). But the great thing was, I didn't find it horrible in the least. I actually felt great all the way through and found it to be lots of fun. Make no mistake, I was gasping and sweating bullets and grimacing and all the rest, but I still felt good. And the absolute best part was that I had thought it was going to be 10 intervals, so when she said "last one" I had the biggest thrill yet! Way to go Cathe for such a wonderful routine! I know many of you are great fans of BC already, but I just wanted to acknowledge how it does get easier after only a few times if you stick to the interval work-outs a couple of times a week.

Hey there, Linda!
I did BC for the first time on Friday and then again today! I LOVE this workout. I, too, cut out the last couple of terminator thrusts and on the first interval cut out the flying jacks - just kept doing regular jacks. I feel like a he-woman when I finish this. Over at Ya Yas, there is a thread about doing this 4 times a week! I would do it just for the fun of it! Love it!!!!!;-)

That's great! I love Bootcamp too and the music rocks!!

I have found that your endurance levels really increase doing Cathe workouts. That's one of the things I love so much about them.

Yes, the endurance gains are so gratifying when you do Cathe's tough work-outs. Today I'll be doing a step tape and I'm almost bored with step, which is really saying something about me after getting into Cathe exclusively because of her step workouts. I used to hate everything else, but now I look forward to my weight work-outs just as much as the cardio. Plus, I'm now really getting into Cathe's kick-boxing and am going to order CK today :). It's not that I don't enjoy Cathe's step tapes, it's just that step is all I've done for so many years at the gym and now it's so nice to have discovered the variety of Cathe. Well, thanks for indulging me once again readers. It's Monday morning and raining in Seattle, but I don't care because I'm on way to the basement to work-out, yaaaaaaaaaay!

Bootcamp (and other) music level

Is bootcamp one of those DVDs where you can adjust the music level? I haven't been able to find the option to do that. I hear alot of raves about the music on Cathe's tapes, but honestly, I usually can't really hear the music over the talking. In fact on some of the older step work-outs that I only have on VHS, the problem is so bad that I get out of step because I can't hear the beat. I know that the old DVDs are not made so that you can adjust them, so there is nothing I can do about those. My understanding is that only the Body Blast series (and probably the new series) is made with this option. Does anyone use those music level features and find it helpful?
