Last night at the gym I dropped a 25 lb plate on my foot. This is the first time in 16+ years at the gym I've ever done this. I've always been a little paranoid about it & here it's happened. Every time I see some guy in the gym wearing flip flops I think what a moron, what if he drops a weight on his foot?
So I couldn't walk on it at all last night & I was really scared it was broken. I elevated & iced it for the rest of the night. I cried all night b/c I thought I wouldn't be able to go to Cathe camp or for that matter have a decent workout for at least 6 weeks.
The good news is this morning it's stiff & sore but I can walk on it. Thank goodness! Big sigh of relief! Guess it's a good thing it was a 25 lb plate & not 45 lbs LOL. I'm thinking maybe a week or two & I'll be back to stepping. But even that week or two will be torture.
I think I'll still be able to do most of my lifting routine. The only things I'll definitely have to cut out are squats & lunges. Anyone have any substitute glute exercises for me?
