I am so proud

My daughter passed her 1st state board exam with a 99%.
I am so proud of her.

2nd test on wednesday.
Then i will finally have a full time helper......
Maybe then I can work a little less .

Any suggestions on what i could do for her.
I was thinking of sending flowers and baloons to work to her tomorrow.

What would you guys like from your mom for this accomplishment.
Anne

Anne- that's fantastic that your daughter did so well!

Okay, now I need to know what exam this was for?? ;) And what you are doing that you need a full time helper that requires passing an exam??

Sorry, I guess I'm out of the loop!!!

Anne

I was asking the same questions as Amy.:)

Isn't being a proud mom great? Congratulate your daughter for all of us.

OOH ANNE THAT'S FANTASTIC!!!!!!

And save a little of that pride for yourself- she couldn't've done it without you!!!!

You mentioned sending her balloons at work- where does she work now?

Oh how fun!!

I think the flowers and balloons would be great, too. Can you decorate her station or something, too??

I vote for a gift certificate to a mall or something since young girls like to spend money on themselves. You could do balloons, which are cheaper, and spend the flower $$ on a gift certificate.

Well i think i will stop at the florist this am and wed after the other test(she will know right away on that one)it will be money.I want to do something special, but vacation is less than 2 weeks away and i am running out of time.
Any other suggestions

Anne,

Please extend my congratulations to your daughter, and I'm so happy for you that you will finally have some help in your shop.

When I graduated from nursing school my mom gave me a necklace with a 14K gold chain and a small stone. I don't think it was terribly expensive, but I loved it and I still have it. It's a tangible reminder that my mom was proud of my accomplishment.

Congratulations to both you and your daughter. Flowers are lovely, but I do like Michele's idea of something more permanent like a nice, not to expensive piece of jewelry. Or a personalized coffee mug, if she partakes of mug beverages? Or some kind of equipment she needs for the job?

Congrats to you and your daughter!!!

As far as a gift, what if you sat down and wrote her a really sincere, "straight from the heart" letter that tells exactly how much you love and are proud of her? You can include it with a coffee mug if you want to give her something.

My mom wrote me a letter like that once, and I've always cherished it. It meant more to me than anything else she could have given me.

Take care, Lynn M.
