I am so happy I could..... I don't know what exactly

I saw a nuerosurgeon for my neck today and he told me to keep exercising as long as I don't lift more than 50 lbs. (yah right!) or run on pavement (which I never do). :7 I demonstrated some plyo jumps and asked him if I could still do that:+ He rolled his eyes and said, "why anyone would even want to is beyond me, but go ahead." He said my situation may never worsen and it's something I have to live with. If I experience pain, I will need surgery. I liked him. Unfortunately I am moving in 2 weeks to AZ, so my workouts will have to wait. I did do half of Solid Gold Step and half of High Step Challenge. It felt great, I know I will be a little more careful now. Lowering my step to 6 in. has made a big difference with neck comfort. Sorry this is so long but I am so happy to be back in Cathe land.:7 :7 :7 :7

That's great news! Glad you got the OK to do Plyo jumps. Why any of us would do such things is beyond me too!:7 Listen to your body and take a little at a time. Hopefully you will be pain free! Happy you're back.:)

What part of Arizona are you moving to? I live in Mesa.
When I do plyos I am VERY careful because of my knees. I like them and want to be able to use them for a very long time.
Welcome to Arizona!:D

Oh, you Arizona people have my sympathies!! The heat is just mind boggling to me! We have some dear friends who come visit us each winter and marvel at how we tolorate the cold and the snow. They try every winter to talk us into moving to Arizona. All I have to do is remind them of their summers and they quietly nod their heads. I just don't buy that "it's a dry cold" line, hot is hot and I am in awe of how you all do it because I melt at 85.

What a great post. I love seeing positive stuff like this! Glad you're back to Cathe, & thanks for sharing! :)

Shouldn't it be "I'm so happy I could .... do a plyo jack?":p

Congrats! That's wonderful news and you must be so happy!

Naw, Dani, it IS different. I'd melt if I was in Chicago when it's hot and humid. I have melted and then I appreciate how 110 with a relative humidity of 6% feels like it's 98 as opposed to 98 with ? relative humidity that feels like 110! I treat the desert heat with the utmost respect but it's perfectly comfortable with life's little amenities, AC and Evaporative Cooling! We have hit the high nineties and low hundereds with a bit of humidity lately and the darn rain keeps skipping my side of the Old Pueblo but it's not so bad. I think Fab's going to find plenty of reason to plyo and she'll be plying jacking for joy come winter when we really, really, really, really know why we love the desert! ;)
