I am no longer afraid...

Good Morning Everyone.

I am happy to report that I am no longer afraid of MIC!! I hadn't done it in literally over eight years, and I know that the last time I did it I couldn't make it through the whole thing. Well, this past weekend, I pulled it out and got through it all, with no modifications at all. I was pretty pumped, as you can imagine. I used to think MIC was Cathe's toughest workout, but now I rank it slightly lower than the IMAXs in terms of intensity. Perhaps it's time to dig out some of Cathe's older step tapes (I haven't done them in an age either).

The MIC hi/lo section is one of the cornerstones of my program. However, IMHO the entire workout would be more appropriately titled "Maximum Duration Workout"; I think the overall exertion level of it is due to its length rather than the intensity of all of the drills, especially the step section.

And yes, in the excitement of trying out her many million newer productions it's easy to forget The Early Years, but isn't it fun to closet-shop and do some of the older workout? I always have that experience with Body Max power circuit segment - I don't do it nearly as often as other circuit stuff, and every time I do I'm gasping.

I agree Shelbygirl, MIC isn't as intense as Imaxes, CM, or BC in my book, it's just realy long. In fact I did this one yesterday and I got bored with the drills of jumping up and down the step. I do like the hi/low though. I love Cathe's later workouts, the choreography is anything but boring.:7

I just finished this in it's entirety for the first time. Wow! What a workout. I also favour the hi/lo but the whole thing was tough. I probably would not have done it had it not been in Cathe's September rotation. :)
