I am looking for results

I started working out with Cathe about 2 weeks ago. I have really enjoyed the workouts because they push me to beyond what I thought I could do. My goal is to lose about 30lbs and 6%-8% of body fat. I weigh myself and take measurements every 4 weeks to see if I am attaining the goals in which I set for myself. When should I see some results from my daily workout? If I continue to workout with Cathe M-F could I possibly reach my goals in 3-4 months?

Thanks
MKC

Hi MKC! It is always exciting when you first start a new workout plan, but don't fall into the trap of doing too much too soon. You don't want to suffer an injury and have a set back. I wouldn't do more than 3 to 4 workouts a week (try every other day) for the next two weeks. The you can go to 4 to 5 workouts (every other week). After about 2 months you can do 5 weekly workouts (a 6th as an occasional bonus when you feel up to it). Be sure to train very hard for two of your weekly workouts. Moderately hard on the rest. Space your weight workouts out so that you never train the same muscle group two days in a row. Drink lots of water, eat smart, and sleep well. Anytime your body screams "not today", take that day off. As long as you train right and eat right, you should lose about 2 pounds of body fat per week. You don't want to rush this or you will lose your spirit in the process, especially when the weight comes back from a fast fix approach. Good Luck!
