I am in pain from B&G

That is such a great butt and gutt work out! My whole a** and thighs are experiencing serious DOMS. It was even the timesaver premix!

I just had to share my pain with some people who would understand because everyone I know just thinks I am crazy.

After doing B&G on a Friday, I have hobbled around all weekend muttering, "Butts & Gutts." My family thinks I've lost my mind.

I have NEVER EVER had such DOMS in my glutes. This workout has hammered my lower body strength into a whole new level. I've noticed other lower body workouts are MUCH easier now. B&G is wonderful. :D

One thing: How CAN this workout be so fun and hurt this much???

Oooooooo get ready for uncontrolable leg shaking. That has been my que that I am getting a good workout latley.

Yesterday my legs were pretty shaking once getting to those low lunges were you use a dumbbell and lean over your front leg.

Yeah! I have trouble standing up after that...ooooh, what a burn.

I had to do B&G in stages before I could do the whole thing from beginning to end. It is, without a doubt, my favorite lower body workout EVER!!!

Yeah, this one can cause some pain. Seems like it's in the deep portion of the butt. All of the other leg/butt videos don't give me DOMS in that area.

Well, I finished B&G Leg Blast premix yesterday (barely). I knew that I was going to be sore today when I could barely get up the stairs!! I seriously thought that Cathe was trying to kill me! I think that this premix is harder than the whole entire workout and I love that it is killer and I don't have to do the floorwork. All in all, I'm hurtin' right where I need it! Bring on the bathing suits...on second thought, make that shorts :)

I did B&G yesterday and feel your pain - quite literally!! Every time I do this workout, I'm amazed at how DEEP I feel that pain. I think what does it for me are the elevated one legged lunges, which, BTW, I see on Cathe's blog, will be included on the STS workouts....oh, let the pain continue...

How funny to see this post this morn! I was just checking the forum for an idea of what workout to do today since my butt and thighs are sore from Friday's B&G Leg Blast. I don't know whether to do just upper body or to do a cardio and hope it shakes some of the soreness out of my legs.

Off to find a workout,
Tana

Youch!! Butts and Guts is one tough workout. My approach is similar to yours. I stop when I can't go any further and rest (i.e., lie on the floor and gasp!) Then I unpause the dvd and go on.... until the next time I can't go any further, pause dvd, gasp, unpause, repeat as necessary. It takes longer to do the workout this way, but I notice huge improvements each time I do the workout. I did have DOMS after the first time I did B&G, but not too bad since. There's always a little twinge the day after-- from those muscles that don't get used very often, I guess! LOL!

Cheers!

Every time I do this workout I feel compelled to pantomime the whole firewalker part for my co-workers so they understand why I'm whining about how much pain I'm in. I keep saying "My butt cheeks are soooo sore..."

I've had B&G since it was released, but I had never tried any of the premixes. After reading this thread, I thought I'd give the Leg Blast premix a try. WOW!! Let's just say I don't want to see another lunge/squat combo for a long time . I may try to squeeze in a walk on the treadmill later today to stretch out these muscles. Hope I can walk tomorrow!
