Ouchie on the hammer on the head!
About the chipped tooth: I once tried to pry a stuck nail out of a piece of furniture (a small nail!) with my teeth, and ended up breaking the crown on my front tooth. Looked like Mammy Yokum for a couple of days before I could get in to see the dentist (and I didn't tell him the whole truth! But it seems that the type of crown I had---a beautiful one that had no metal in it, made by Coors brewing--had a history of breaking problems, so I had to get it replaced with a not-as-pretty one---with metal in the back).
