HSTA, How do you like it?

I like this w/o b/c of the tricep push-ups using the high step, push-ups using the high step, chest press & glutes raises at the same time (a challenge), the fast feet. Although the music goes up & down it doesn't bother me just as long as I can get an effective w/o I'm fine.

Being wordy, I'm sorry, but I just about like/love every dvd/vhs I have of Cathe.

I LOVE it! I held out getting this one because of the negative comments about the music. Not only do I love the workout, but I also love the music. This workout hits every muscle group nicely and also burns a lot of calories. I'm so glad I decided to go for it.

I think it is a great circuit workout but not the best. I don't like the music and there are to much leg presses for me. It is not my loved bootcamp but it is great.

I love this workout, partly because I love (and get results from) leg presses. I also love the variety of this workout. As I've said in another post, the only things I don't like are the music and the one-armed tricep dips. I still have to use both arms on the dips, though I do keep my leg up! I love the cross over push ups on the incline at the end, though.

I love this workout too! It hits all the body parts, your muscles feel "worked" once your are finished. I just wish there were an ab routine at the end. I just add one of the stability ball routines at the end. The music doesn't bother me at all it's fine. Also I find this workout harder than Boot Camp (at least for me). I'm finally able to do the one arm triceps, my left is so much weaker than my right. Yowza! Hope this helps!

This is one of my favorite only because I do the different premixes alot but not the whole thing, for example I will do the leg only premix follow by the cardio only or I wll do the upper body only premix and do another cardio like Imax or KPC. I don't care for the music though but other then that I think it would be a great circuit workout if that is what your looking for.

ORDERED IT! Can't wait! Thanks for all the input! FYI, I am looking for something to keep me sweating and heart pounding and this sounds like the ticket! I love the Intensity Series, hopefully this will be comparable if not exceed in what I am looking for. I do love the leg press so the idea of "too much leg press" sounds like my kind of workout!

Then yes - you'll love this! I love leg presses and this has a bunch of them! You won't be disappointed! :) :)

This is one of my favorite circuit workouts. I am drenched at the end. It hits everything well. My upper body is thoroughly worked ( I still can't do all the cross over push ups or single arm dips). Also, the cardio is short, but intense. The legs are high rep, low weight which is a nice format for shaping. I try to keep my abs tight all the time and don't mind not having an ab section ( I can rarely finish any of Cathe's ab sections anyway!). I have missed doing it this month! I'm trying to figure out a CTX rotation for January or until the Hardcore get delivered.

I just got it and tried it Tuesday. I absolutely LOVED it!!!!!!!!! I especially like the cardio intervals because I feel like I'm working hard in a short amount of time.

Love it! Glad you decided to go for it. It has some new stuff in it using the high step. Fun & sweaty workout. I, too, love leg presses and this workout sure gives them to you. The music is great in my opinion, but there hasn't been a Cathe workout I didn't like the music. Have FUN! And...press-away!

I'm with Debbie...I always love Cathe's music. As for HSTA...I don't like circuit workouts & even I love this one! Woohoo!

I just got and did this one. I loved it! But after years of the Firm, leg presses are relatively easy for me--compared to some of Cathe's other leg tortures. Having said that, I must say that I used 6 risers like Cathe does, and I really felt it in the "cheeks" the next day. I just got the high step, and only had the Fanny Lifter previous to this. That extra 2" made a difference.

I think you'll be glad you ordered it. Have Fun!

Well, I guess I'm going to have to get the High step. I too have the Fanny Lifter & like you can do leg presses 'til the cows come home. LOL! I often even use heavier weight than Cathe and still not feel it.

Since I too came from the Firm, I am a leg press queen! I have graduated to the high step but I usually use 5 risers and the top. This makes the high step as tall as the fanny lifter but 2 inches shorter than what Cathe uses in ME. For ME, I usually use 40-50 pounds. She does them so fast in ME that the extra 2 inches doesn't work for my 4'11" frame. However, I add the 2 inches for PLB since the reps are so much slower.
