HSTA DVD, WOW!!!

I just purchased this DVD last week to add to my collection and to benefit from the no s/h purchase with preordering the Hardcore Series, it came in the mail yesterday, I previewed it, got really excited and did the DVD!! All I can say is WOW!!! what a workout, Cathe has kicked it up a notch in this one, I can hardly wait for the Hardcore Series. I can do BC pretty well, those squat/thrust/scissor thingies still get to me, but I can hold my own, but last night, I was winded! Using the 8" step really got me!!

I do have another question, with all this fitness lately, it's inspired me to become a fitness instructor through certification. I am an RN and I believe this will give me an advantage with testing.
I was considering ACE, but would like your input, anyone that would like to comment and help w/advice, please do so and thank you.
Also, thank you Cathe.

I just did this one this morning too. I thought the weight sections were tougher than in Boot Camp, but I thought the cardio was much easier. I was only using a six inch step, however. I exercise on thick rubber mats, and the high step at eight inches seemed kind of wobbley. Maybe I just have to get used to the different feel. I'll try it your way next time, and see what happens.:)

I did this one for the first time today. Cathe mopped the floor with my hide. I thought the whole thing was hard, but I'm totally stoked because I can grow into this workout.

I did this for the first time last night. I thought it was way harder than Boot Camp and that includes the aerobic sections. I'm not used to stepping above 5 inches, so that might be part of it. I couldn't believe how many leg presses there were....16 on each side for 5 circuits except for one circuit where she did 2 sets of 16 on each side. I don't have DOMS yet, but I'm certain it'll kick in later. I also thought the biceps section was tough....she did real slow lifts on that one and I kept my weight heavy (24 pound barbell). I'm really feeling it there today.

Another thing....the fast taps that she does in one of the circuits...it's similar to the fast taps she does in IMAX2, but the step is higher. I couldn't even finish them at the speed she does it. My legs flat gave out.

This isn't a workout for someone with twingy knees.

It is a good full body workout, but you might want to add some abs on at the end.

Hi! I have been really enjoying this workout also. I do wish Cathe would have added an abs section at the end though.
I love all the leg presses and different push up variations..
This workout is just fun and adds a different variety. I have been doing HSTA 2 times a week for the past few weeks. It is scheduled for tonight!

Have a great day!!

I ordered HSTA and BCME when I pre-ordered the HardCore Series. I'm new to Cathe's workouts (I was diehard FIRM fan for 17 years until the incline box fiasco)....ANYWHO, you guys have gotten me really excited about the workouts I should be receiving soon. I'm so thankful I found Cathe!
