how should you feel....

Cathlete
after you completed one exercise in meso 2--should you feel completely spent where you can not do one more rep ( not including the ones that you go to failure) or a little tired?

i just did disc 13 and don't feel much of anything (except in the tri's)

not sure if i am going too light... in the drop set--- after the first 12 should you be shaking to do one more before the rest--- or just straining a tad :)

I am doing meso 2 and I know that after each set, I do not really feel that I could do any more....mostly it has been very tough, but I have managed to finish the set.... Some sets I have not been able to finish (just started week 3 yesterday and found it very tough, especially for shoulders). IDK if that helps you or not... I did do a 1-rep max test for every exercise and always use my workout card as my guide.

I've done 13 and 14 and with each one I didn't feel completely spent. I did find that 13 caught up with me in the shower immediately following (I did it Saturday) and even today I am very sore, especially in the triceps and shoulders. With 14, I am sore but honestly after that one I thought for sure I wouldn't be able to walk the next day, but while I'm sore and a bit stiff, I'm fine. Maybe tomorrow?

Tough workouts. Don't underestimate them, or think they aren't working. I wondered too, but a few days later, I know I did them!

I pretty much feel the same. I have some soreness but nothing that serious. Sometimes I wonder if I am working hard enough but I have to admit I have no desire to feel practically incapacited.

Since Meso 2 is for hypertrophy, you should try to go to failure (no more reps with good form) on pretty much every set.

Kathryn makes a great point. I (personally) am working to failure. When I said I wasn't totally spent I meant that I wasn't exhausted after the entire workout, and unable to do any more sets, like I was with Meso 1. I probably could have gone on with more sets (but oh how glad I was that I didn't have to!) At the end of each set, there is no way I could have continued another rep without a rest! In fact, failure sometimes happened at rep 8. I hope I didn't mislead with my prior comment. ;)

This is just me...

I am not sure if this is how anyone else but me "should" feel, but I absolutely cannot do another rep when I finished a set in disc 13. Now, during disc 14, I was able to move to the next exercise of the tri set, but I was wiped out after completing a tri set.

I am definitelty working to failure and pushing myself like never before.

I have some serious DOMS today from Monday's disc 13 workout. I am expercting to have to crawl tomorrow after doing disc 14 today (legs).
