How old is your Step?

Ok, so I was doing 10-10-10 this morning and noticed that my rubber pad is coming up abit in the corners where the Step logo is. It doesn't bother me, it was just something that I noted. Anyway, then I thought about how old my step was, the thing is 15 years old!! Talk about a lot of use for, what now seems like little money. At the time not so much.
So, then I thought, what an interesting question to ask all of you.
So, how old IS your step?

Mine is probably that old as well. Maybe 17 years old. It's such a part of me though that I have actually used duct tape on the rubber part that is coming up!!!

Hmmmmmmm I'm not sure exactly but it has to be around 12 or 13 years old and it's my second step!
My first one was a really cheap plastic and I actually broke it.
This one is the Step Reebok and it's still going strong.
I would really love to buy the type Cathe uses in her workouts because I think it's a little bit bigger and also has a little more give when you step, but can't see spending the money when this one is still in good shape. ;)

I got my step which is the old Reebok step that came with a Gin Miller vhs tape back in the fall of 1993 so my old gal is entering the 14 year, wow I never realised how old it was.

I'm not sure how old my teal and purple Club step is, I'm going to guess about 10 years old. Getting my step was the best trade I ever made, I traded with a friend with the toddler bike seat that my Kiddies had grown out of. The step is holding out very well with just one little bubble under the grid. My step is my favourite toy:+

My step is 8 years old and it's still holding up pretty good. I have the turquoise step that Cathe uses in Low Impact step.

Mine is going on about 12 yrs old, but it wasn't mine for that entire time! When I moved to Florida 8 yrs ago, my roommate gave it to me. She only used it a few times herself, so it was almost new, but yes, it's definitely seen some wear in the past 2 yrs!!!!(that's when I dug it out)

I've had to take Gorilla Glue to the tread on the edges, too!

My club step is 7 years old I also use duct tape to keep the rubber mat secured.

The damn thing will probably still be around long after you and I have all returned to dust and dirt. ;)

I have had my Reebok Step about 5 years, but my mom bought it for me at a garage sell, so I really have no idea how old it is. I have to do all DVDs at the 8-inch step height, because the step at 6-inches slides all over my hardwood. Other than that it still works well. I would still like to buy the one Cathe uses though. Maybe someday.

Mine is probably about 9 years old. It's one of those old Step Reebok ones that I snagged from the wellness center at my old job. I kind of wish it would wear out...but I don't see that happening.

I have the teal colored one as well, and I'm guessing it's about 15 years old. I've reglued that rubber pad so many times I've lost count. Mine has glue drips coming down the sides. It looks pretty rough, but it still works!

Mine is the teal club step with purple and pink risers - very obnoxious looking but it is in great condition - no repairs needed yet! I have had the darn thing for at least 15 years!:)

I have the Reebok step and it's about 13 years old now and still going strong. I use it every day sometimes twice a day and it doubles as my weight bench too. I would like to get Cathe's step as it is bigger but right now I will stick with old faithful until she breaks on me!!! Teresa

Mine is about 14 years old, BUT I have two toppers (I bought a second one when I bought a double-step workout, then found that no one else ever made a double-step workout, LOL!) and I don't remember when I started using the topper I'm using now.

I think a Club Step is one of the best fitness investments one can make in terms of equipment longevity.

I have no idea how old mine is. I bought it used on eBay and it was in great condition. I've been using it for about 3 years now, and it's still going strong. I agree with Kathryn - they're a great investment.

I bought mine for a Saturday morning Jazzercise super-class back in 1991. I debated for awhile as to whether to invest the money as it seemed rather expensive at the time, but I did research on the effectiveness of step aerobics v. floor aerobics, etc. I was also concerned about it just being a fad. It was soon after that when I started buying video workouts and have been going strong with them ever since. So glad I got it ... it seems indestructible. I haven't had problems with the rubber mat at all ... it does have some scratches but that's about it. Deb

Mine is 3 yr old. Bought it at Boscov's for incredible low $40. I love it. I'm not positive what circa. Words Step in blue lettering. Came with a VHS produced with live instrumental. By far a great piece of equipment.

Wow, isn't it amazing that one piece of equipment has lasted so long, AND we still use it regularly?!
I just thought about whether there is any other piece of equipment that I've bought over the years, besides weights, that I'm still using. And the answer is no.
Mine is also the teal topper with the pink risers. I'll have to go get that gorilla glue this weekend. I have a little girl I babysit for a few days during the week. She decided the stick her little fingers under the part that was starting to come up and made it much worse.
Oh well. At least it's fixable. That'll teach me for leaving the darn thing out.

I got mine about 5 years ago. It is the teal one with purple risers. Has held up well although the rubber topper is like a magnet for towel lint and my kitty's hair. :)

I would say mine is at least 15 years old and still in great shape. I bought the original club step when it first came out -- the teal one with the pink and purple risers:eek: :7 . My rubber mat is still firmly in place and I've never needed to secure it. I admit I don't use my step as much as most of you;) , but I did for a number of years until it started to bug my hip.
