how much cardio is enough?

Hi Cathe!

Just curious as to what the minimum cardio requirements are. I'm not looking to lose any weight and am trying to focus more on building some muscle mass, especially in the upper body, and trying to lean the lower body out at the same time.

Also, do you do any personal training? I'm in the South Jersey area and would love to have a custom workout designed by you!

Hi Michele! While the answer to this seems to vary a bit, most experts believe that 3-5 times per week for a duration of 20-60 minutes at 50-85% range of your training zone is sufficient.

You'll have to see own your body responds, but I find if I do a lot of cardio (6 long duration workouts per week) I have a harder time building size in my upper body.

Thank you for the compliment but I do not do any personal training. I used to it part time a long time ago but once the video career became my focus I could no longer be flexible enough to work around clients schedules.
