How many weeks CTX?

Hi Everyone and Cathe,

Hopefully this will be a simple question, but I was wondering how many weeks in a row you are supposed to do the CTX series. I've done 3 weeks and I already see a noticible difference in my upper body muscle definition. I wonder if there is a certain number of weeks when the benefits start dropping off?

On a different note, Cathe, a couple of months ago you gave me advice on reducing the size of my lats/chest so I could fit into my wedding dress...I took your advice, it worked, and my dress fit! Thanks so much for your help. Now I'm an old married woman (as of 02/02/02). And I don't have to worry about avoiding heavy lat/chest work anymore! YAY!

Thanks so much!

Holly

Hi Holly! Congratulations on your marriage. Its a wonderful thing, isn't it? So glad to hear that your dress fit great too.

You can use any rotation for any length of time as long as the results are still strong during that time. You will know when it no longer gives you the same inspiring results. Thats when you should change. Take Care!

Thanks, Cathe, for the prompt reply. That's the answer I was hoping to hear. It took a while for the CTX series to grow on me but now it's the only rotation I want to do. I think the one-muscle-group a day method works really well for me; that way I can give that muscle group 100% of my attention. And, I've never seen results in my upper body so quickly!

Yes, marriage is a wonderful thing. I'm glad I waited until I found the perfect man for me. I'm really looking forward to our future together!

Oh, on a different note, I just saw the picture you posted of you (looking very pregnant) and Eric. Thanks for sharing that; it made me smile! I just hope I stay at least half as fit as you when I'm pregnant!

I have increased my rotations to eight weeks on exercise and one week off, (up from 6 on one off), and have been doing it this way:

Four weeks of long cardio (Cathe mix of step, hi/lo and kickbox) and PS strength, and four weeks of CTX. This has worked out real well for me, since I find it easier to do the shorter tapes. They are tough, but short.

I do not do an additional day of a total body tape like a lot of the Cathe-ites do, I find that is too much for me. I do, however, always try to work in a second intense legs workout(Power Circuit or Circuit Max with addition work such as leg extentions, leg curls, inner thigh and calves).

No rotation is written in stone, you are free to do whatever you like. It's all in what keeps you motivated.

I am quite the opposite. I tend to do 3 week rotations and change as often as I feel the urge. The great thing about Cathe is she has offered us so many awesome workouts, the combination are endless and it's up to the individual to find what works. Have fun!
