How many toys does your dog have?

Carola, thanks. I agree that he will probably HATE it (I can never get him to put on a sweater, either) but his head is really heavy so I'm worried about him going under when no one sees. What he does is stand on the ladder and paddles, then launches himself into the water. It's really, really funny, but he tires easily and I don't think pugs were designed to be swimmers. :) Maybe I should get a newfoundland to fish him out.

There we go, Marie, sounds like a great plan to me }(

RE: THIS MANY!!!

Gayle! LMAO! That looks just like my basket, except my basket doesn't contain anything with a heartbeat in it! :7 Rascal is just adorable!

RE: THIS MANY!!!

Ok, my lab doesn't get toys. He eats them in 5 minutes, poof gone. SO, my shih-Poo has 3 that have survived so far. But as soon as my lab gets ahold of them those are history too. I don't store them anywhere, only because they're small, so keeping them on the couch isn't that big of a deal.
Yup, my dogs are not spoiled at all when it comes to toys. They play with eachother and they seem happy with that.

Kathy

Edited to add I've even tried a kong with my lab, litterally 5 min and it was in pieces.

Molly has around 50+ toys. I love to spoil her and make sure she knows we love her.

She also loves us back without a doubt. Of course.

She doesn't like sharing them when my sister's dog come to visit. They are all hers and lets the other dogs know it.

Janie

The idea is to die young as late as possible

Rascal is too precious!!! He looks kinda embarrassed!! LOL .. or either he is thinking "OMG what is she gonna do now!!!""

I see the green ball that makes the funky noise .. took my big baby all of 5 min. to disable it!! LOL He also has the gorrilla .. so far he just got the squeaky out everything else is in tact!!! :)

He's my cutie-patootie, and I have to admit, he does put up with a lot from DH and I. LOL! :7

Though it isn't in the picture, by far his favorite toys are his Cuz's, which are the LOUDEST squeaky toys ever made. He has the innate ability to sense that the best time to squeak them is when we're on the phone...REALLY! :D

OMG .. have not seen that one .. that one looks like they may not be able to disable it!! I am gonna have to get them one or two of those! Thanks!

.....oh and Buster and Toots thank you ahead of time!!! :)

Jimmy gets a new toy every time I go to the pet store which is often as he goes to Doggie Day Camp there. The only one he doesn't like is the cow that moo's - it scares him. Goofy mutt...

Most of his toys stay out in the garage where he is when I'm at work (with access to the side yard - fully puppy proofed and no cars) but occasionally they will sneak into the family room...

Kimo only likes chewies - and we get a bag of those almost every time I go to the pet store as well as Jimmy is teething and we're going through a lot of them.

I could not even begin to count the amount of toys my five babies have. Tons.

Don't even get me started on treats!!!

DF spoils them worse than I do. He made them bison meat meatballs the other night.

My pups are SOOOOOO spoiled! I think I have more than made up for their former lives as strays!!!

I used to have two german shephards and other than one tug rope and 3 or 4 squeeky balls, they only had each other as toys :)

Here's a cute story: My friend trained her dog to run around the house, pick up his toys and put the away in a basket! She'd yell "clean up the toys" and he'd go crazy finding them and tidying up!

I've got two large dogs: a male black lab and a female giant schnauzer.

The lab, like mentioned above, loves to chew and rip toys apart. I must chastise him or we'd have nothing left.

Because . . . my schnauz must carry a "baby" (any soft and most likely squeaky toy) around with her whenever any human enters the room.

All you need to say is "Zellie, go get your baby" and away she runs to get one of the stuffed squeaky toys. Then she prances like a very proud mama (though she never was one).

Cracks us up :7

OMG. Georgie my Newfie at one point had so many toys, I was giving them away to fellow dog owners! I cannot help but buy him one when we make our monthly trip to PetSmart--a nightmare with a Newfie who pulls me around the store smelling everyone and everything, I swear I will never bring him again, but then, I always do!
After all, it where all the "smart pets" go right?:)

Now he has around 4, but only really likes the small, squeaky toys, he likes to hold them in his mouth and squeak it at me, run away, hoping I will "chase" him. Not a very good retriever!

My personal favorite isn't really a toy its a movie on DVD called "The movie for dogs". Seriously, you put this on and your dog will go nuts! My DH says I love the "movie" more than George does, but it keeps him entertained for a good hour!:D

You can order it on themoviefordogs.com if your a nut like me!:7
