How many times have you seen Ice Castles?

I LOVE this movie! I know it's not an Academy Award winner, but I just can't get enough of it! I've seen it twice in the last 2 weeks & recorded it so I can watch it in August.

I've always been enamored of figure skaters--graceful, beautiful & athletic at the same time. And I think Lynn Holly Johnson rocks. She was (and still is!) gorgeous & a decent actress.

Or maybe it's b/c it's the first movie I ever saw in the theater w/my friends instead of my parents.

And on a side note, is it possible to watch this movie & not cry your eyes out? I swear, I like to think I'm a tough chick, but I can't make it through Ice Castles (or It's a Wonderful Life) without a large box of Kleenex.

I seen it for the first time a couple weeks back when it was on SoapNet. I thought it was good but I didn't cry, which is unusual for me because I'm such a cry baby.

Robby Benson gets on my nerves. :D

It was my favorite movie growing up. I idolized Lynn Holly Johnson. And she is beautiful.

"I forgot about the flowers"...makes me cry every time. I haven't seen it in at least 10-15 years...

I remember going to see this when I was in high school with my sister and a couple of friends. I saw parts of it on television a couple of weeks ago. It brought back tons of memories. :) I wanted to be Lynn Holly Johnson!

Once....but I used to play the theme song on my piano ALL the time...."please...don't let this feeling end...it's everything I am...." I have a couple movies I have to watch whenever i see them on TV. "The Breakfast Club" and "Two Mules for Sister Sarah". I throw "First Contact" into the DVD player a couple times a year at least too....mostly to enjoy my surround sound and because I really miss Jean Luc.

Only twice, but I sang the song for a solo in high school. Then the music teacher moved me from an alto to a soprano because it was a rather high song. So it had a real influence on my high school choir days. :)

The first time I saw this movie was when I was a kid and my dad took me to see it. I think I was too young to really get it, but he had tears streaming down his face. :)

I saw it with DH on tv a while back and it didn't move him at all.

Love this movie! Must have seen it more than a dozen times. I love anything with ice skating in it. It's just so touching!

Ice Castles is such a good movie. I've always had vision problems, not as bad as the character's, but I could relate to what she was going through. I had a crush on Robby there for a while, too.
