How many hours a day do you workout?

I usually do an hour. If I'm lucky and have the time and hour and a half. And that's five days a week. I just can't bring myself to work out on the weekends.;)

1 hour max and rarely on weekends. If I workout on a weekend it's usually something light like Yoga or Pilates. Every once in a while, I will do a more strenuous workout on the weekends to make up for a missed day during the week.

I usually do anywhere from 1 - 3 hours, 6 days per week. I do workout on weekends as I'd rather take a day off during the week. It works well for me, I figure I have extra time on weekends to do some good strength and cardio, so that's when most of my 3 hour workouts occur.

Have a great day!

I prefer workouts that are 50-70 minutes long, and my goal is to workout a minimum of 4 days a week for 50 minutes. I don't always hit it, and sometimes I do more, but my ideal workout week would be 5 days, 50 minutes.

I think more is not necessarily better, especially from a health and injury-prevention standpoint. I've often read that anything over about an hour may be counterproductive, especially with weight training.

Recovery and rest is just as important as working out.

My workouts tend to be about an hour. I just don't really want to workout longer than that.

1 hour 5 days a week and usually a little more on Saturdays. Sundays I do absolutely nothing

I am doing Cathe's rotations since Nov.06. Feb. rotatation is between 1 hour and up ????? 6 days a week. My body responds really nicely to this hours! I got nice results!!!!

Usually about 90 mintues a day. This includes an hour video and running 3 miles. I do this every single day. I never take a rest day, except every once in a while I'll skip either the running or the video... never both!

It averages to be about an hour or 70 min per day. Today, though for example I have a 90 min workout planned, but tomorrows is only about 35 minutes.

I wish I could to 90 min per day with one rest day.

Usually about 1 hour. I just don't have time normally to go longer. Usually 4 - 5 times per week. I like to workout on the weekends, I find myself able to spend more time and not thinking about everything that needs to be done at work :)
I don't have set days...I just have to go by what days I have available and then plan workouts accordingly. Every week is different :)

Usually an hour to an hour and a half five days a week and occasionally I work out on the weekends.

I workout 4 days during the week for 1 hour. On weekends I workout for 2 hours, usually weight workout in the morning and cardio in the afternoon.

You never take a rest day? Wow, I wish I could do that but I have to take one day off a week, never more than that unless I'm sick but I can tell by the 6th day of working out my body is saying I need a break! Any tips or hints on how you are able to never stop?!?! :)

depends on the day. sometimes during the week, i walk or run in the morning, and then train taekwondo or a workout at nite. on weekends, i may run in the morning and then do upper body in the afternoon.

other days i may do an hour or take the day off.

Working out everyday can compromise the immune system. I know this from personal experience. Rest is an often overlooked component that is so important in overall good physical health.

I aim for 600 minutes a week of cardio and weight work (not counting abs/warmups/cooldowns). I also usually work out 7 days a week and only take a day off when I'm tired (which is usually twice a month).

For me it's anywhere from 30 to 90 minutes a day/6 days per week. There's no rhyme or reason to it...it just depends on the rotation I am doing at the time. :)

cheryl,

you are so right. i used to force myself to take a day off and then felt guilty. not anymore. i usually take one day a week off. it varies, but lately it has been during the week due to my long days.

weekends give me more time for a longer workout, without the stress of having to rush to finish.

definitely no outdoor walking or running this weekend. too cold and windy for my asthma, even with a balaclava. looks like the rest of the week will be the same.
