How many days post ovulation did you wait to test?

I think I tested on day 10 or 11, looking back. I was supposed to go drinking w the girls and had some strange but familiar symptoms that day and thought "what the heck" and sure enough, my little one's line was faint but it was there! Good luck! Hope to hear good news Bethany!

Thanks for your responses.

Fertilityfriend.com says that my test date is tomorrow, which is 11 DPO. I guess because I have short luteal phases normally? I'm almost afraid to test since seeing that negative sign always breaks my heart...:(

Sissy, did you get a positive result at 10 DPO? If not, when did it show a positive result?

Bethany - I got my positive at 9 DPO. I just couldn't wait any longer to test! ;) It was pretty bright by 11 DPO. I think I tested every day until 15 DPO when I finally convinced myself I was pregnant! ;)

Well I tested this morning and it was negative. I should bleed by tomorrow. There was a very faint line, but I used the cheap Equate brand test and in the past that line was faint but still negative...so I don't have much hope.

Jen, did you test again later after 10-11 DPO? If so, when did the line become darker?

Liann, wow you got an early positive! I guess it all depends on when implantation occurs.

I think I'll spend more money and get the digital tests next time - at least there's no ambiguity there.;)

Bethany - Definitely get some digis. I really prefer those. Also, some people don't test positive until up to 15 DPO. A close friend of mine was testing the same time I was and kept getting negatives. She finally got a positive though, it just took longer for it to show. Not trying to give you false hope, just that everyone's levels are different and some people take longer to get a positive. Good luck! :)

Thanks Kate and Liann.

My temp was still high this morning, which will put me at one day longer than my longest luteal phase length if I bleed tomorrow. It's hard not to be hopeful, but I also have to be realistic. I bought some digital tests and will test again in a couple of days if I don't bleed by then.

I appreciate the support!

First Response is suppose to be the "best" test for testing early. It has to be the 5 day sooner test however. Its suppose to be able to detect the lowest amount of HCG in the urine than any other test on the market, so i have read. Every test has a different level of detection of hcg and they can detect the lowest. Dont get fustrated! we have all been there! It will happen!

With my twin pg I didn't test positive until 16-18 DPO. I kept on testing & it'd come up negative....then finally I got a super faint line. I kept on testing 19-21 DPO and still a super faint line.

I always used dollar store pg tests b/c we were TTC for so long....I couldn't afford the expensive ones! I've been taught that "any line" is a positive line....as faint as you can imagine....it's positive.

Bethany, I'm routing for you girl!!!

Tomorrow will be 14 DPO and if I don't get a period by then I'll test again. My longest luteal phase length has been 11 days so I'm cautiously hopeful...but it feels like I can bleed at any time.

Sissy, DH and I DID see a faint line on the Equate brand of First Response...but then I bought digitals that day and tested later (obviously not with the first morning urine) and it said "not pregnant."

Melanie, I wonder why it took so long with your twin pregnancy to show up. That's interesting.

Well, only time will tell...

I'M PREGNANT!!!!!!!:eek::D:D:D

I honestly wasn't sure if this day would come. DH and I are beyond thrilled. Now I'm afraid to breathe wrong for fear it won't stick. Maybe I'll stop doing the HiIt workouts, just in case? I had 40/20 on the agenda for today but I'll probably just do Step Blast or something.

:D:D:D

OMG!!!!! I AM SOOOOOOOOO HAPPY FOR YOU!!!!! It's funny because after reading all your posts, I just had a feeling you were! What a great start to the new year!!! Congratulations Bethany!!!

YES!!!!!!!!! :D :D I too had a feeling that you were pg....but didn't want to seem too optimistic (I sometimes thought I was when TTC, later to find out I was not).

I am soooooooooooo happy for you!!!

No exercise LIGHTLY, girl! This baby IS going to stick!!!!!!!
