>Dani - me and Sophie do that too! It's good for wind
>sprints, since she likes to race:) She's already told me
>that she wants to run with me when she's older!

Oh, how neat Shelley!!!

Dani,

I would love to find a bike trail close by here. Right now I have to wait for my 3 year old to get a little older. My older two would be fine riding their bikes but the three year old would be all over the place. The Jr. high is just two doors down and across the street and it has a track. Too bad my three year old wont stay on it. LOL! ;-)

Sabrina,

TeeHee! I understand about your little three year old! BTW, you look absolutely AMAZING after having 3 kiddies! Wow!!

I do both. Treadmill usually during the week. Outside on the weekend, so my dh can watch the kids. It's too hilly in our subdivision to let my kids ride along with me. I have to actually push/pull them up the hill. Then when they are going down, I worry that they get going too fast and can't stop.

When I'm on the treadmill I always have something TV and my iPod. I've put a Cathe cardio work out on a few times for a little or a lot of motivation. I do interval runs, too. Change the incline, etc. Anything to keep me on that thing. It does get boring!

Dani ~ good luck on your race! Let us know how you do.

Sabrina ~ I hear you about your 3 year old. I have a 2 year old. Somedays I think HE is my work out!:7 Where do they get all their energy? I'm going to start putting my Cathe DVDs on all day, maybe she can wear them out! LOL!

Outside! I only run treadmill for interval sprints. I have a delightful little device called a Garmin Forerunner 301 that is a GPS system and heart rate monitor built together and fits on my wrist. It tells me pace, distance, heart rate, calories, even altitude for when I trail run... you name it, you got it. It's expensive but well worth it. I love to trail run, so to me this is like having the world's best treadmill...

I prefer outside but do run on the treadmill, especially during the winter because I prefer to run after work. I have been doing only interval training on the treadmill for the last couple months, it has really helped too.

I love the idea about putting in a Cathe DVD, I'm going to try that. I could watch Cathe for hours! The Gauntlet gets me so pumped up though I'd probably jump off and start doing that instead!!

I prefer to run outside but living in the midwest, you better have a backup plan because it's no telling what the weather will be like.

I do like to do my interval work on the treadmill though...that way I'm forced to keep my pace.

I also have a Garmin GPS for my ourdoor running and I Love, Love, Love it!!!!

Judy...I love what you said about IMAX 2&3 and pacing your run with that...definitely something for me to try.

So I do both essentially depending on the circumstances...so how do I vote??

I use to run outside until I was jumped on by 2 dogs. (separate incidents). Now it's the treadmill for me. I have gone out walking and had a yellow lab come running up barking at me while the owner watches. I like to watch tv or cathe videos and listen to my ipod.

I prefer outside. I don't have a treadmill but I have used one mostly at hotels when I'm on vacation. I think I'd like to have one since the summers here in NC aren't really conducive to running with the heat and humidity. I'd like to be able to run when I want to not just when the weather permits.
