How do you fade the "linea negra" ?

I had my baby on March 23rd, 2001 and didn't get any stretch marks or anything, but the linea negra is still there - it's a lot more faded than it used to be, but it's still there. That brown line that runs vertically to my non-existent abs is getting a little annoying :) Is there something I could do to fade it faster?

When I was pregnant, a girlfriend gave me a cream (the brand was Dermologica) to fade dark spots. I believe you can probably find something similar at a salon that has skin care products. However, I don't know that this really helped all that much. Maybe if you used it more religiously than I did . . .

My baby is now almost 17 months old and that line has finally faded out, although I can still see it just barely. My doctor told me that it would never entirely go away, but I think a lot may have to do with your genetics and coloring (i.e., I would imagine a person who has very pale skin would have a harder time getting that line to fade).

Thanks! I guess time will tell

I'm very pale, so I'll try to be patient, sigh. Pregnancy changes your body in so many ways, it's amazing.

I had a baby on Oct 3rd, 2001 and I can barely see mine, but I have a dark complexion. I know this doesn't help you, but I just wanted to say I think you should be thrilled that you don't have any stretch marks, those would be far worse. (I fortunately, didn't get any either)

It fades with time... I think I was 15+ mos. postpartum when mine finally faded to not noticeable...

I think it's kind of cool. I keep looking to see if it's back again, since it's a reminder that my hormones are doing what they are supposed to do during my pregnancy.
