How do you all manage to stick with it?

Hey Kathy, I'm glad you bumped this one up. I missed it and it is excellent and very motivating.

I was thinking about what the original poster said, and I've noticed that my DH has a rule that he must bike ride every day the weather allows. He is strict about the rule for a time, then he stops riding altogether for months! The original poster said she always works out 5-6 days per week, or else she isn't working out at all. This may be more than obvious, but my DH is very intelligent and still doesn't want to hear it: maybe 2-4 times per week is fine. Maybe it's time to lower the standards a bit so you can actually meet them and not get bored.

Like my Mom (a 67 year old in perfect health) always says:
EVERYTHING IN MODERATION
I'm not sure what it means, but it's always worked very well for her :)
