How are you cued when filming?

Hi Cathe,

I recently posted and asked questions about the production process, how many rehearsals there are, how many takes there are, that kind of thing. I'm still curious about that, but I also was wondering if you use a teleprompter or cue cards when you are filming. In other words, how do you remember what comes next? I know Cedie helps to count, but is there something or someone off camera who helps to remind you?

I really enjoy the workouts especially the new workouts. The choreography was more challenging to me on Bodymax 2 and Low Impact Circuit compared to previous workouts. That's what makes it fun for me, learning the choreography. When I get up to speed on the routines I always feel a sense of accomplishment.

Thanks and Happy Holidays!
Missy

Cathe:

I have always wondered how you manage to keep RIGHT & LEFT sides correct for the videos. I assume that you teach live groups with a mirror in front of you and thus, right & left would be easy. But, with videos, you must reverse the very thing we are taught from the first year of life.

I wonder if the black bracelet I see in most videos is a sort of sign to help you remember RIGHT from LEFT? OR maybe the words are just written on poster board in front of you during filming. I so appreciate the effort you make to lead first with the right side, followed by the left side.

I am so proud of you being in both the magazines for January! Keep smiling!

Sincerely,
Denise:D

Cathe has said that she used to use it for this reason, but now it's just a good-luck charm.

How funny Missy, we address your two questions (as well as several others) in our BEHIND THE SCENES section of our new calendar.

I talk about how we used to have to memorize the opening speeches and now we use telepromters for speeches, whew! We do not, however, use a teleprompter during the filming of the workouts though. I just write key words or phrases on a cue card so that I don't lose my place in the sequence. This is especially needed on workouts like Imax's or Drill Max where there are SO MANY changes.

Keep up the great work Missy and happy holidays to you too :)

Hi Denise. Thank you for your praise regarding the magazines...so sweet!

Yes, I used to wear my black wristband to help me keep my opposite rights and lefts straight. Now I feel "naked" without my wristband and use it for good luck:)
