Hotskins pants: substitute???

Hey ladies: I've been lurking forever and have received my BEST fitness advice from this forum. Thank you.

So, I finally destroyed my single pair of beloved Hotskins fitness pants. They're out of business??? Sheesh.

Can anyone offer up a good substitute? I'm fairly small---about 5'3 and 105 (thanks to Cathe.) Hotskins fit me perfectly. Anyone a fan of Carushka's dance pants???

I am your height (and at my best weight 5 pounds heavier than you). I shop at sandiegofit.com and have found some great pants there. You may want to check out their site and give them a call. Ask for Kelly and she can help you. I am sure she will either recommend BlueFish, Bia Brazil, or some other Brazilian manufacturers.

Oh, Loyayne: You're a doll. I'll follow your instructions and let you know how it goes. While mourning over my Hotskins yesterday, I held them up and realized you could see right through the derriere. Good golly!! Perhaps their demise is a mixed blessing.

I vote for sandiegofit.com too--I was wearing KOS USA low rise bootlegs & just found a fabulous substitue by One Step Ahead--they're supplex which is like the most comfortable material I've ever worn. Also they send out 15% off coupons through email once a month--I'm waiting so I can order more of these awesome pants.

I'm not a huge fan of Carushka--the material is so thick it doesn't dry quickly & it's really hot to work out in.
 
YES! I looooove those pants! They're so comfortable, they are NOT see through LOL, and they're a little shorter than the KOS USA pants so they work better for me (I'm 5/3"). Anyway, I bought the navy b/c KOS USA had been out of the navy pants for months, & now I'm hooked. They come in like every single color.
 
Hi girls...how funny that I just orederd yesterday from San Diego Fit...a pair of Bia Brazil pants...

I am 5' 3" also and wondering how the One Step Ahead pants fit...I dont know if I should get a small or a medium...

I weigh 130...

Also are they thin? I like my pants a little thicker as I need all the help I can get at my age!

They're just a little thicker than the KOS USA pants, if you're familiar with them. The material is what I like most about them--it's so soft & dries really fast. But the fit is great as well.

I weigh 110 & I wear a small, but the material is really stretchy so it's kind of hard to say what your size should be. I'd suggest ordering just one pair to see how they fit, but I'd wager a small would do for you.
 
You know, maybe I'm crazy, but I loooovved my Hotskins and Carushkas so much that I actually would wear them in public---like for shopping and stuff. W/a cute shirt that covered up the Hotskins label (not nec. for the Carushkas) and a shoe w/a little heel, they looked good enough for me to get a few compliments.

Anybody else find a pair of workout pants that look good enough to wear out?? That's what I'm looking for---that double purpose.

Oh---speaking of fabric thickness, the Carushkas are thick. The material is...dunno what to call it...but super comfortable. They're definately good for cold weather fitness. Inside, they tend to get a little hot.

You ladies are the best.

What is the inseam on those Brooks pants? I didn't see it on the webpage or sizing pages? Also do they fit tight around the knee/legs? I like these kinds of pants for just wearing around but I always work out in shorts. I generally can't tolerate things fitting tight on my legs and have returned many yoga pants for that reason. Thanks.

The Brooks pants are as close to perfect as I've ever found. They are not constricting at all- they feel like you've got stretchy sweats on, but they aren't bulky at all. They don't constrict at all, and flare a bit below the knee. They're maybe a "snug" fit through the thighs, because they touch your skin.

That may have made everything MORE confusing, not less. Sorry!!! I do have them on in the April photo in the bottom of my picture trail, but that doesn't help at all either!!! LOL
