Home Trippers: Saturday morning workout

Since I won't be up by the time some of you hit 9:30 a.m. (if you decide to follow the road trip schedule), I'm posting this now.

The first activity for Saturday morning is a 9:30 step class. Do your favorite Cathe step workout (or if you don’t do step, your favorite Cathe cardio). Report back and let us know what you did and how it went. (If you do this before or after 9:30, that's o.k., too, as long as it's close to 9:30 in SOMEONE'S time zone!!)

I actually have my treadmill scheduled today, since I did RS yesterday. It's supposed to be my long walk day, but I think that I woke up with a cold. SO definitely has a cold, but I can't tell if the congestion I've been feeling is a cold or allergies--and if it *is* a cold, if it is mild enough for me to workout. Ugh.
 
I did the Viper yesterday so today I am taking a rest day. I won't be stepping but I may go for a walk later if the humidity isn't too bad. I have a problem taking complete rest days, I feel like I need to be doing something so I usually stretch or take leisurely walks, weather permitting.

Kathryn this was a great idea. Thanks for setting this up. I just posted on yesterday's thread and tried to "mingle" at the welcome party. I had some questions for some of you, so check that thread okay?
 
I'm going to do Low Max today. It's nearly 9:30 a.m. here in Pennsylvania, but it's my husband's birthday today and then he's off to Switzerland (these are the main reasons I didn't sign up for the road trip). So, I want to whip up a birthday cake for him first and help him get ready for his trip. After that, it's Low Max time. Enjoy your workouts today!

I'm running 12 miles this morning starting at 8:30. I'll still be at it at 9:30. Maybe my run can be stepping figuratively since I'll definately be taking some steps!

I can't wait to see pictures and hear about everything!

I did Step Heat this morning at 6:30 am EST. What a great workout for a less intense day! Cathe really holds up over the test of time!

I hope everyone is having a great time, still beating myself up for not going, though..:+
 
Hi Home Trippers!

I walked for 45 minutes this morning and soon as DH leaves I'm going to do HSCI. Since I skipped ME last night, and already walked this morning, there is no way I'm doing my scheduled BC. So I'll compromise and do HSC. Then I still get a step workout in.:)

Good morning all,

I finished Lomax at about 8 this morning. I'm still stunned everytime I finish the workout about how intense thoes low-impact blasts are.
One of these days, I'm going to brave that blast-only premix. Of course I'll probably be laid out over my step gasping for air by the time it's over with.
 
Actually, the blast only premix isn't so bad. I do it if I want to add a short cardio after a weight workout. It's only 23 minutes long. When I do the workout in it's entirety I can barely tap and kick on the last blast but I'm not tired when I do the blasts only. However, I AM sweating yet I always feel like I could run through them again. You should give it a try.
 
I was supposed to do the treadmill today, but I overslept. Now I've got to get over to Bloomingdales and return all the Prescriptives make-up that blotched up my skin. Then I have to find a new make-up line. FAST. There's a Bare Escentuals store in Manhattan. Maybe I'll try that? Then I've got to see if there's an Eddie Bauer that sells petite stuff, and buy a sporty cruise wardrobe. So basically, I'll be running around all over Manhattan. Probably use more calories than the treadmill.

When I get back, though, I plan to do some Power Hour. That workout is really helping me get back into shape for my cruise. I just do a little each day and the DOMS are tolerable.

Sorry to bore everyone with my details! I get chatty before coffee. Kathryn, I just loved the posts last night. What's on the agenda for today for the hometrippers?

Yeah, right, sure. Since when do new mamas get rest days? He is breathtakingly adorable. I had forgotten how utterly precious and beautiful they are when so new. Funny how they manage to remain so as they grow. :D Until they turn 8, and then they are plain weird and rather gross a lot of the time, lol! ;)

I did Power Max for carido and chest, back, and shoulders of PUB (for the 1st time) It was more of an experiment than a w/o.

I decided that I didn't need to be able to walk today. *rolls eyes at own stupidity* I did MIS, just the leg portion, but threw in 3 rounds of the leg presses with a high step. I also cut out the dumbell lunges. Then moved on to Low Max. I used a 6" step, so it wasn't as bad (that first step felt WEIRD), I actually feel pretty good right now, but I have the feeling that I will experience some DOMS.

Now it's off to Santa Cruz - to clean out my step son's apartment (he goes to UCSC). Then maybe a little stroll (or limp as the case may be) on the wharf.
 
I did Low Max this a.m.--at 9:35 my time! I'm not a morning exerciser, and it's an interesting experience!

Then I went to the grocery store (after wiping off with some Purell sanitizing hand towels---no shower since I'll work out at least once more today!...I think!) to buy ingredients for my Italian dish (see that thread).

A reminder of the rest of the activities for the Home trippers (remember, times are your zone, or whatever time zone you want!).

Saturday:
2:15 15 minutes of fame. Everyone gets 15 minutes to "film" their own mini workout (or a segment of Cathe's workout, as the actual Road Trippers are doing). What does yours look like? Or do you prefer to follow someone else as a background exerciser? Do you whoop?

3:15 : Scupting class (weights and stability ball)

4:30 Spend and hour one-on-one with one of the background exercisers that is going to be at the Road Trip (many "clones" available!): Cedie, Lorraine, Jai, Mark, Rhonda, Brenda. Who do you choose and what do you do?

6 p.m. 45-minute kickbox wokrout

7:30 DJ Night and Pizza party!
Put on your favorite tunes and dance around in your living room!
Everyone gets their own personal pizza. What kind would you choose?



Sunday:
7 a.m. High Step workout

9 a.m. Good bye breakfast.
What do you want to eat?
 
Posting late because I thought I would post 1/2 of my day at one time. I see Kathryn has posted a lunch thread, so I will jump over there next.

My workout was Imax 3 step only. It had to be a short one because I'm on the Cardio Coach challenge and I didn't plan ahead.

No shower yet because I doubt those road trippers scheduled time for one.
