High Step Challenge

OMG - Just did this for the first time this morning - I have absolutely NO endurance whatsoever - but I loved it - was dripping by the end. I don't like the shuffle-things though - I couldn't keep up. Any suggestions on substitutions?

Thanks!

Mary

Hi Mary!
I totally agree with you. A lot of people on this forum said that HSC was too "easy" compared to HST. Anyway, I went ahead and bought HSC and love it. When she said "this workout moves", she wasn't kidding. It really keeps my heart rate up, even though it's a circuit workout. I, too, am dripping at the end!

I just re-read your post. About substitutions, I don't do the shuffle either. I just move my feet the same as Cathe, but not onto the step. I just "shuffle" on the floor around the high step topper.
HTH,
Paula

Hi Paula - that's what I did as well - just shuffled on the floor. I can't wait to try HSTA!!!

Have you tried just staying in one place and kind of doing "toe taps" on your own pace instead of bouncing all the way around like Cathe does? That's another option for you. If you keep facing forward, it won't really matter how fast you go since you'll get back at the same time as Cathe, every time! :p

This is a tough workout for me, as is BC. Circuits seem to be my ultimate workout challenge. I just did HSC yesterday and plan on doing it once more this week. There is so much variety in this one workout and it clips along at a fantastically fast pace.

I like this workout too - nice well-rounded workout. I don't do it enough though. Probably because it really wears me out! I think I'll dust it off and do it this weekend!
